Saw the list of US Club soccer national champions…. Who the hell is Boston Bolts 2006 east and their coach? Haven’t heard any about him or this year? Yet they went out and won at a national event.

Team has a bunch of Weymouth and other South Shore kids.
Play in NEP premiership division and won regional cup all the way through.

Some clubs and teams just quietly go about their business and get things done. Good for them. Way to rep Massachusetts on a national stage.

Has this team always been good? Why weren’t they NPL? Why is the coach only a JV coach?

Seems to be like a hell of a story that needs more background information on.

Bolts East has been the top boys program on the south shore for years. Take a look through all of the age groups and you will see a pattern compared to the other south shore clubs. It is nice for one of the groups to finally get to that level and bring home a title. It is great for the kids who play at NEP level, no matter the club, to know that there is a pathway for them to achieve success also.

Wonder how they would compete against their MLS Next team as well as their top ECNL.

There is an NPL national leagues and championship and an NEP one. Perhaps they would not have gone as far in the NPL?
Bill McEachern has been head coach at Weymouth for almost 20 years and has been fairly successful with all age groups. The Bolts coach coaches one age group team and suddenly you want him to be head coach. Bill McEachern also heads/headed advantage soccer. Essentially, he offers a lot to the school and area soccer.
What else does the JV coach offer???
