Hi TS parent of a U9 player. Looking for advice in the best chair for the sidelines. Went to a game last season to check out our club and saw a lot of foldable rocker chairs. I知 sure there痴 a reason since no one was rocking them. Save me the veinless hotdog responses. I知 in a soccer family for the long haul so looking at a smart purchase.

This is an "oversized" one. Better more room than less. Go to a store like Cabelas and try some out. Make sure it's sturdy and will last you awhile. Get something cheap and you'll be getting one next year again. Beverage holder is a must for those blazing hot days. They do have them with a canopy but I've never used one. They look kinda weird, but I guess it does provide shade or protection from a little rain. I prefer to stand, but for tournaments I brought a chair. To each their own.

Lightweight and comfortable, simple. Don't bother with the bells and whistles. Even for 90 min games I almost never take a chair but they are needed for tourneys where you may have a lot of down time at the location between games. Also, most likely, it will get lost/left behind at some point so don't spend a lot.

I like this chair because it is easy to set up. I have a hard time sitting in direct sunlight so the canopy on this chair is really helpful. It can be adjusted to different heights and folds back behind the chair when not in use:

chair is great - very sturdy and comfortable. Beware that the carrying bag is garbage though

You can't be serious... Are you really asking what kind of chair you should sit in? Man, you have a really clear head. If this is what keeps you up at night, I wish I lived in your world. Seriously think about the thread you started on here. I mean, if your asking for opinions on major purchases like a home, car, what club to put your kid in etc, then fine. But a CHAIR??? Funniest thread in years. Thanks for that
