The US isn’t playing Ukraine. Are you on the right board?

      Home is not England, though.

Germany: 4 World Cups, 3 European Championships
Italy: 4 World Cups, 1 European Championship
France: 2 World Cups, 2 European Championships
Spain: 1 World Cup, 1 European Championship

So basically out of the top 5 UEFA nations, England is by far the least successful.

And today Raheem Sterling dove to generate the game winning penalty. Not sure how VAR justified him kicking his own legs out without contact. He should be ashamed.

Name one player that would tell the ref he was wrong in a huge semifinal game like that. NO ONE WOULD.. You play the game as it is, ref mistakes and all.

Unfortunately VAR had to prove it was an obvious mistake. Unfortunate

Sterling dives. It's part of who he is. There are plenty who dive and VAR doesn't catch most of them. Nice to see England get some luck for a change. Deal with it. England won. Italy next.

Watching fish and chips fans being fanatical, despite odds of a heart attack. Pretty fun. Never seen so much giggling, blubber shaking since re-run popping. <- what's happening rog

All the same it’s a pretty weak way to win. Shame on the ref who watches people dive game in and game out and probably knows, like me, who will try to do that instead of finish the play with real glory in mind. Pretty weak, but that’s what some teams are about.

Looked like a clear and obvious error given the leg never touched and Raheem started to open his mouth in pain a few frames before the leg even comes close to his. Why is that so obvious to me and no one else paid to be concerned? It’s not like I care and was actually watching the game muted while on a conference call.

I think for these tournaments the only way to really deal with this is to set the tone early in the tournament by pulling a yellow for unsportsmanlike conduct. That will dissuade the antics.

Ronaldo dives. Messi dives. Lots of players dive. There's VAR. But, UEFA, the FA, et al., don't care about fixing the problem. They could. They don't. So, for once, England benefited from a bit of luck. We'll acknowledge the luck and move on to the final. Job done.

Like you said, they didn’t do anything any other team wouldn’t have done. And has done. It just happened to be now in a pivotal match. The majority of people saw it as a dive or extremely little contact not worthy of a call. But it was called. And even the network referee said it would be a tough one to overrule. Move on to the next game and hope somehow they learned from it. But I doubt it.
