Lots of bs arguing on here about this club or that club. One thing is for certain on the girls side Real is one of the top 3 clubs in NJ and can compete with anyone nationally across multiple age groups. Lots of other clubs should follow their quality over quantity model to achieve similar success. Instead it’s the opposite. Bloated rosters and poor training at the so called “academies”. Youth soccer needs a drastic change in this country.

Real is what it is. Occasionally able to field a good team but with insufficient resources to compete as a club. Theres no grand scheme to keep them out of any big badge league.

Ok, so facts, since Aug 2020:
05 2nd USYS D1 with 4-3-1 - Overall 11-5-2, vs GA 0, vs ECNL 1-2-1
Ranked 5th
06 1st USYS D1 with 8-0 - Overall 12-1-3, vs GA 1-0 (Played CSA Bergen), vs ECNL 0-0-2
Ranked 2nd
07 2nd USYS D1 with 3-1-3 - Overall 12-10-7, vs GA 0, vs ECNL 0-1
Ranked 11th
08 8th USYS D1 with 3-5-1 - Overall 12-15-3, vs GA 1-1, vs ECNL 1-0, Also 0-2 vs MFS 09
Ranked 14th
Points of Facts:
A large bulk of games played are against township teams.
2 of the 4 teams took 2nd in division with barely above .500 record
The mighty 06 team has 0 wins vs ECNL and only 1 win vs GA
All of this points to that Real is not in the top 3 clubs in NJ. In a few years (circa 2022/23 season), IF the 05s and 06s stick around, maybe they will be able for GA.
Funny note, clubs like PDA South, MF, CSA: Monmouth, SJEB, PSA and STA may not have teams that could win over every age group against Real but yet those clubs will have players move on into colleges and even lower tiered professional leagues. A teams record doesn't mean the players are worse or better then the team they played.

08s win over ECNL team was 2nd to last place FC Delco. Would be middle table GA. Bottom table ECNL
07s have not beaten an ECNL or GA team in past two years. Would be bottom table GA. Would get absolutely crushed in ECNL.
06s are a legit team. 100% agree with you. Top 3 GA. Would be top half table ECNL.
05s would likely be middle to top table GA. Bottom table ECNL.
Conclusion - Real is worthy of GA but would struggle and be similar to FC Delco in ECNL. Pick your poison...compete in USYS Regionals and Nationals yearly or be middle of the pack in Girls Academy with maybe a team or two going to Champions League or be an ECNL punching bag except for maybe one year.

Oh well— even if real isn’t able to produce quality teams or compete at high levels,at least the girls on real are happy and having fun! Just look at their team pictures. And they get to have 24 new friends on the field to play with.
Quantity over quality.
Stress over smiles
