SFFA has a girls program?

    SFFA has a girls program?

    SFFA will be playing gal next season - did they merge with anyone? Other than boynton? Where are they going to get girls teams at each age level ?
    Their original girls program shut down when they lost DA and most of the decent players went to Weston aka Florida United

    Not GAL. Not any league as far as I can tell, they are just getting the program back off the ground.

      Not in GA. they are in some ****ty 4th tied league run by fysa that has the words girls academy in it and misleading everyone in already crazy youth soccer landscape. All they see is parents with $$$$$$

        Sunshine Conference made a special academy division for GIRLS. This conference is well run and they will showcases throughout the year. So yes it is a new wheelhouse GAL but is is gaining steam quick. The Sunshine Conference is really good this will take away girl players from other clubs and ECNL / (R) player types. The vision is longer term but its moving forward. This pathway will take shape look at the showcases they will be in and then understand the vision and this was well thought out . Please note if it helps girls have more pathway options then we should be all for it . I get all the local clubs are worried but its not about that its about giving the girls options that all.

            Remember this who you play against that measures the league and they are forming so good higher level players and teams that’s the chase ... anyone can play against nothing and look good but what are you chasing a trophy.. the girls academy league is not chasing a trophy they are interested in developing higher levels of players by playing better teams every week and at showcases.

              Regardless of a new or existing league, you are an absolute 100% fvcking moron if you let your child play at SFFA. Eichmann and the other shareholders should be in jail for fraud. Don't fall for the hype. Don't say, "I know better." Boca United/SFFA is the definition of a complete sh!tshow.

                  698 girls in current ECNL tournament played ECNL. It matters. I'm sure Fat Mario is selling something else but for D1 it matters.

                    That is a fair comment - So is there room in the current landscape to build a third grid if you will with Sunshine Girls Academy League and then longer term spread the same concept throughout the US in same type of leagues across the US. They would play in showcases scouted and the league play in fairness should be okay level given the clubs selected in that league. I am just asking the question?

                      the league was created to get money off of dumb parents like ecnlr fake made up league for lower level players. Sunshine is the league Team Boca plays in it is very very watered down competition.

                        I get it but I think your missing something ! what if in a year or two MLS Next were to take over the Girls league ? then what would you say ?

                          MLS next on boys side will be done in two years but they will make up some other name in some other league

                              Boca plays in Sunshine Conference. He is referring to the new Sunshine Conference Academy Division which is different. (Sunshine Conference is a team based league and Sunshine Academy Division is Club based)

                              USYS created the club based league to better compete with other US Club club based leagues like ECNL RL because they are loosing members in droves.
