    Too much focus on ECNL

After reading these threads and team bashing etc it needs to be said, ECNL is not NOT the most important thing for your player to be part of no matter how talented your kid is. There are other pathways. I played soccer in college as many of you and have friends who played D1. None of us were ECNL players. I’m friends with a couple college coaches, they agree. Don’t put your kids through the extra driving and put yourselves in debt to be w a club w ECNL.

All the negative about Impact NPL, but so happy it’s happening and with good clubs. Say what you want but it’s a nice to have something beyond ECNL!

Why isn’t NEFC and Scorpions part of IMPACT? It seems like the best plan for everyone.

Eventually, they both will have teams represent their clubs in the league. However, it will not be their top teams, just like Stars and Bolts

Top teams. Well that’s subjective as we all know the top is not always the top game to game season to season. Happy to play any team out of Stars, Scorpions or NEFC since they have solid coaching from team to team. I know that the big clubs can have several very good teams but they aren’t going to all be ECNL.

Many around club soccer parents have an almost unanimous opinion of impact NPL that it is a horrible, terrible league. Just a fact. What else needs to be said about impact other than the league blows chunks.

The issue should be how do many clubs in RI charge the same price as Mass. Most parents are sold a dream.

Only those not participating in Impact think it’s horrible.

90% participating don't know any better, or, they are happy as you said, because that is the level their player belongs at. But it is low/mid level soccer, come on, just admit it, nothing wrong with it. 5th and 6th teams from some clubs participating? That's really all you need to know.

So what’s the alternative? ECNL or nothing? No. I don’t buy it.

I’m sorry your club is not joining impact so you have to put it down sounds like a lot of sour grapes to me!

Seems the only folks that do not like IMPACT are the ones not in it.

Surf and NEFC do not like IMPACT everyone else is on board. So I guess Surf and NEFC can enjoy playing one another or continue playing in the honky tony league CT.
