TopDrawer commitments are self-reported, so it just means that players aren't reporting it.

The thread op doesn't seem to have much knowledge of why PDA has two teams but is quick to criticize MF commitments? 🤔

Correct, for example PDA has more like 100.

4 is pretty good for MF. Solid team and good recruiting.

PDA has 50 self reported players. Many kids are listed as PDA but some may have moved on already.

That’s all PDA locations in the state. North, South, Shore.

3 ECNL teams, 3 ECNL Composite teams, 3 ECNLR and a couple of NL teams

Alternative question raised by this database. Why do so few MF kids register for this database compared to PDA, Solar soccer, FC Stars, San Diego Surf, So Cal Blues, etc...?

Alternative question suggested by this answer. If the PDA and MF numbers are underreported by self reporting, to what extent should we consider the other NJ club numbers are underreported?

The numbers are never accurate. The don’t reflect graduating class vs letter of intents, etc. ignore those stupid sites. They don’t reflect any clubs true placement.

Some players don't want it out there, and some clubs don't get around to reporting (even if families are ok with it). The only way to get a somewhat more accurate read is to scour club websites for their lists. Some proudly have them there for everyone to see, others (again) are lazy, and the last group just doesn't have much to brag about. If you've got the time to do that, god bless ya

There is no one who wants to brag about being recruited to a D3 - especially to drew university after spending $70K at MF.

The numbers are as they should be. About 10% of all MF players end up in college. This is 5x higher than a typical HS average. This year’s numbers are also because a couple of players are from the ‘22 class

MF does not have a real “college recruiting” process unlike other clubs other than the 4 college where they have established relationships.

with 3 wins in 9 games in one of the weakest ecnl divisions what the hell are you expecting.

                          lower your expectations bud.

Not a MF member but first, who the frick is spending $70k on youth soccer? No one unless they bring 6 family members to every out of state event and staying at top end hotels.

So, beyond that...plenty of families will happily brag about D3 if it's a quality D3 school. Many soccer families can afford the sticker price (or maybe their kid is smart and gets some decent merit $). Going through all this isn't just about D1 bragging rights or bragging about "full ride" scholarships that in fact aren't, but it's also about leveraging soccer to get into a better school than you could have without soccer. If families think that is happening they'll still keep writing checks.

Top drawer is for certain folks that want to brag about certain things. People that can't be bothered, value privacy or dont want their child's information used to generate clicks and revenue for some random soccer publication try to keep their player out of there.
