Which Orlando clubs to check out

We know the big clubs well (Rush, FKK, City). Like what some of the small clubs have to offer but, many times their access to decent quality leagues is restricted. Are there any hidden gems in Orlando? We are central so could go west as far as Clermont, East as far as FKK, South Orlando would be a stretch or north like City. Kid is not looking for ECNL or MLS and we are looking for boys team u 16 next year.

I would consider GGS. At least check it out. The club is a little rough around the edges but they do have some good coaches. It helps if you speak Portuguese :)

In my opinion, If you have a good coach, the club matters little.

Agreed on the coach. Looked at the record of 2006 ggs team and looks like it has some potential. Anyone know what positions that team might be looking to strengthen?

Why no stay in Orlando and come to Florida Premier?

We are best and you can be best too.

Second the GGS suggestion and also check out FKK for they seem to be on rise and popular. Rush is not the big club it use to be and is more geared for the younger group. No experience on OC.
Go to at least 2 tryouts and see what your boy thinks. My 2cents

I recommend FKK if you want to play high school soccer, or Rush if you want to play high level all year instead of half. Orlando City is disorganized and doesn’t care about the kids off the field.

Wrong OC does care. Rush has been on the decline for past couple years plus no where near high level anymore, heck they aren't even in the top 100 clubs where OC and fkk are.

OC doesn’t care about the kids, only the ones who’s parents have a thick wallet.

GGS is ok in the younger boys age groups but play in crappy leagues against crappy teams so hard to know how good they really are. They are NOT good in the older boys group and terrible on the girls side.

In Florida clubs have over 30 leagues they can play in. Which ones would you call good leagues and which qualify as crappy? Once we have that answer then the OP question can be answered quite easily.

Any league where your 1st teams (example GGS) are playing against other clubs (example OC /FKK) 3rd and 4th teams.

OP said not interested in playing MLS or ECNL so keeping that in mind what club do suggest for Central Florida that would not play in a "crappy" league?
