Looking for information on Scorpions East. We are thinking of having our child try this club. Where do they practice in winter? How are the coaches? Is it a good starting point to possibly play on one of their higher level/older teams? My kid is at a mediocre club now so looking for a little more. So I guess most interest in u10 - u12 age.

We have a player there. Great experience so far. Robbie, who runs the region, is awesome. Practice in Weymouth and Braintree and play indoors in Hanover at the U or the bubble at Union point. East Region is growing every year, so definitely worth a look.

We’ve been really happy with the Scorpions program. D started on the East region and now plays on the ECNL team.

Can’t believe I am going to say this but since FM has stepped down he is much different coach. Teaches great basic skills and fundamentals of the game to younger players. RS is also great and agree that the East is growing again. Seeing new faces almost every week at trainings. Both these coaches are well organized and communicate quickly with email.

I agree that Robbie is great, but the East is still in rebuilding mode. The teams play lower divisions and it is hard to say how much they can grow. The feeder into ECNL is the one advantage, but not sure how much attention they get from EB or NR.

FM is fantastic if you want someone to berate your kid.
“Train wreck” is his favorite coaching point.
