"A League Experience Like No Other"

Select is probably not wrong but not in the way they mean. What a joke.

"We could not be more excited to be a part of the New England IMPACT NPL this spring season. This will be a league experience like no other, and we are honored to be a part of a league that will offer our players league play and so much more.

I really don't understand how they justify a 5 game season. I get that they only have 6 teams in the league but easy enough to play everyone twice.

Didn't you see? It's the..."and so much more" that gets you there.

Looks like at the U18/U19 group is playing more than 5 games when every other age bracket is playing 5 plus a cup game.

It seems like these clubs just wanted an easier way to get to the NPL National Events and to limit the longest distance of travel to basically be between Aztec and Bayside.

This is the biggest bait and switch I have ever seen. I would be surprised if SSS keeps any of their top second team talent. But of course LL will dangle the carrot of letting them train with the GAL players to make them feel special with no intentions of taking them on those teams. You go from playing in a competitive league to playing weaker teams from the DPL in 5 game league schedule. ECNL regional teams play 5 games in 3 weekends. They have 16 game schedule against quality second teams from strong clubs. The New England Division of the ECNL has very strong teams from 07 age group and up. LL better start making players sign contracts now or lose more of your cash flow.

GAL players this will be your league in one of two years so get ready for crap competition.

That must be why they still went to Jeff Cup just for the game total so people don’t get mad

I’m still trying to figure out what impact means in soccer terms?
Also didn’t select form the league? So for them to be honored to be in it doesn’t make much sense.
Once someone finds out what “so much more” is please let us know.
Also if it’s something great shouldn’t parents be a little up set that they weren’t offered this before?
League play isn’t great it’s the same teams they played in the fall.

The ménage a trois between Selects, Bolts and Aztecs has not benefitted anyone. As of matter of fact it’s more destructive than anything. Bolts needed girls and Selects needed boys but neither of them where able to be successful pursuing the other. Aztecs are the 3rd wheel that is being taken for a ride following two of the most unlikeable DOC’s in club soccer. Aztec also has no real leadership as MK reminds of the Henry Winkler waterboy character who hides then reappears when things get better.

Between them they have destroyed one league and another is likely to go under pretty quickly

Report of 3-4 big clubs leaving the NEP. Any truth there?

Yes, 3-4 clubs joining Impact NPL this summer/fall. You want to know who?
