Rumor has it Celtic has put in a bid to take over the soccer program at the Largo United fields on Belcher. Could this be an end to AS reign in Largo? Would be a huge boost to the Celtic program if true and is awarded to them.

That would be big for Celtic. There are a lot of ifs here though and rumors. If Largo United has had the rights to those fields for decades now, any word on why the County would pull them and give them to Celtic?

They both have one good Girls team that they brag about constantly. May the best club win!

I'm pretty sure FP is as big or bigger than TBU. And they had 3 girls teams win the top ECNL bracket last weekend, not one. It is just that one of those teams has a dad who is very addicted to posting on TS, just like TBU Dad (which seems to be you unless you have multiplied).

What is good ol AS going to do about his Tournament Money? Can't run tournaments without the fields. Maybe Celtic will let him continue, for a 'hefty price'.

Ummm … I'm pretty sure the FL Premier and Largo deal is set. FL Premier will run the comp program on the Largo fields. They already advertised their Friday night clinics in April. All March Madness games will be held at Largo and the FL Premier Tarpon fields as opposed to St Pete or Pinellas Park where they used to do them. I'm sure good ol' AS got a sweet deal out of it and he still gets to run his rec program.

You seem scorned and bitter! Lemme guess TBU?
Pinellas County is also in the process of re-evaluating all of its athletic complexes with the idea of making them one sport only . Celtic would become a soccer only complex and baseball would move to the SYAA complex . Should that happen there would be a lot of disruption during construction and in theory the leases could be renegotiated and go to the highest bidder. Considering the shortfall in local taxes I’m sure the county would look to get as much as they possibly could .

Does celtic have some deep pockets?
