The state level data is interesting. Washington is at 107% of expected deaths for the year, vis-à-vis 112% nationwide. So we've done significantly better than the country overall and most states. But quite a few states have managed to keep excess deaths under control with far fewer restraints on various activities, including school and youth sports. Some of those include North Carolina (88% of expected deaths), West Virginia (86%), Ohio (105%), Utah (109%), Oklahoma (103%), and Missouri (105%) (some relatively open states like Texas (117%), Arizona (125%) and Florida (116%) also have some of the worst numbers). And some of the worst numbers are in states that shut down as much or more than WA and did so early on: New York (120%), Massachusetts (117%), Maryland (118%). While the state's stay at home policies surely saved lives early on when hospitals were overwhelmed, identified cases were concentrated in people most at risk, and no one had figured out how to treat the disease, it's not clear that our current mix of policies is saving lives relative to the somewhat less restrictive policies currently in place in many states.

our state is not better off than states that are wide open. No reason we cant be wide open and take the necessary steps to stay safe.

Honestly even next season, Spring 2021 is questionable.

Good try sound, but that's not how it works. Rules clearly state it's based on where players reside. Not on where the organization claims its office is. Otherwise every king county club could just rent a cheap office in Snohomish and start holding games.
Their office is in Woodinville, the majority of their players reside in king county. I'm sure they'll be shut down soon too.

He would have been better off keeping it closed. Rather than play with kids emotions. Hey kids here is a taste, oh you liked it now I am going to take it away again. I don’t want to hear anyone say they care about kids mental health. They just don’t.
