Seems like Issaquah is doing pretty good...

Issy, Woodinville, Curtis and Lake Stevens in the 4A Final Four. Skyline, Mount Si gone. Issy on a tear since post-season started. They are 5-0 in elimination games with 15 goals scored vs. 1 allowed. Also beat Mt. Si in a seeding game and took Woodinville to 2nd OT only to lose on a missed handball) in another non-elimination district match. Could Issy take it all after a losing regular season record and finishing 6th of 8 4A teams in KingCo Crown-Crest? Woodinville has been consistently great and has to be the favorite. Will be good soccer regardless down in Puyallup next weekend.

Woodinville plays soccer. Issaquah has a few really good soccer players that all do their own thing and a coaching staff that lets them. Will be interesting how it plays out but I’m not sure that wins against Chiawana and Skyview are that telling…

Issy did manage clean sheets against those weaker teams though. And not sure Lincoln and Kentridge were much of a test for Woodinville either. Issy saw Woodinville twice during the season and both were 2-1 losses. In the first Woodinville played soccer while Issaquah did something else. In the last game the Issy D was solid against Woodinville except for a mistake and a ref-assisted game winner in the last minute of the 2nd extra period when Issy stopped playing on what they thought was a handball. Issy has been a very different team in the postseason If these two teams make the final, it’ll be a great match to watch.
