Anyone who doesn’t understand this simply isn’t intelligent. All of these leagues and their “showcases” are killing local tournaments. Bernie needs the Surf name to keep getting teams and college coaches. Now he’ll get a bunch of teams from Spokane, Oregon Surf, Titans, Montana, and probably a couple really good California ones. It’s smart. Period.

$20 titans 07's dont play in the top bracket of their own (i guess xf challenge is now the titans/surf/gunners/liverpool challenge? Sounds impressive.

Maybe WWS and XF decided together that this was a good idea for both clubs - but for different reasons.
The nationwide Surf brand "forces" teams to attend which helps XF.
WWS gets the visibility of a big tournament carrying the Surf brand without the costs of hosting it.
Every other local club is now squeezed. If this was a business it would be a brilliant move...oh wait, it is.

Wishful thinking. You are naïve.

Bernie needed to find a way to monetize his work and found it. He will sell XF to Surf and retire.
good bye xf. Will be interesting to see how this plays out with LWYSA.
Adam showed him the way.
