The addition of former ISC Gunner/Liverpool coaches and players does not improve this program past select. Its the merger of two bad clubs.

Bellevue is too crowded with too many people trying to pick the pocket of unknowing consumers.

And lack of practice fields.

They will topple LFC, Valor, and some of the other clubs not affiliated with a national program.

Probably a few years before they can regularly compete with ECNL teams across multiple age bands.

With the rebranding and the recent addition of quite a few A licensed coaches, is Western Washington Surf (Titans) a legitimate substitute to ECNL or to a lesser extent GA? Or do they compete more at an RCL/rec level?

Who do they even play in league play?

****ing hilarious. Surf sells its brand name like a franchise to rebrand their clubs. Remember the old NW Nationals when they were dying? They rebranded to Greater Seattle Surf which is no longer in existence. Get the **** out of here

Historically the club has been extremely poorly managed from a player/coach perspective. It’s treated like a for profit business and developing players has not been ownerships first priority. Too soon to say if the new hires are an attempt at changing this or just an attempt at a sort of hostile takeover of another club…

They are applying to join GA but the other local GA teams would likely try to block/stall the application as that program is already weak in the NW and getting watered down as they try to spread a few decent players across these clubs. Next year will be a stretch.

I’d guess they stay competitive with Valor but that’s about it, maybe win a few of the smaller local tournaments. The coaches they hired might be good people but don’t have a lot of history beating ECNL teams at any age group in an established clubs when they’ve faced them in tournaments.
