If your understanding of soccer comes from Spokane Surf I would strongly recommend you not engage in these types of conversations in the future. Just trying to help. Best of luck !

I concur. This is not a rec or a high school game. ECNL is supposed to be for the 'elite' players (it's right there in the name), who either should not allow an opponent to score so much, or be ready accept this outcome and grow from it, like the Brazilian national team after 1-7.

That’s absolutely figured into my estimate. A minute to pick it out, another minute to get it back to the circle for a kickoff, a minute for a goal.

I would strongly recommend you don’t interact with people under 18…I mean your own children are screwed but let’s try to spare everyone else. Does your first name happen to be Kevin or Billy? Lulz.

Did you just compare Washington Boys 2010 soccer to the Brazilian National team? You are obviously off your meds.

Another low point for crossfire, such a toxic club.

Imagine thinking that a local tournament is for “elite” players that are 12 years old. What a bunch of delusional whack jobs. Club is a dumpster fire from Bernie to coaches to the parents of 12 year olds.

Yes, there are indeed elite players and teams at this age. Which is exactly why every tournament has tiers based on playing ability. Its an absolute shame that the Spokane team (coach or management) put them in the wrong tier. Even more of a shame that they had to make a significant investment (10 hr r/t drive, 3 hotel nights for each family) and were set up to fail. Maybe they should take an honest look at their program and rethink whether they should really be an ECNL team. There is no shame in being a select club. Although, I guess its easier to get parents to cough up more $$ if they brand their club as Premier.

Spokane loves to post about their boys ECNL program being the top level in Eastern Washington. Guess they hope parent never go look at the league standings. Combined goal different for their 6 teams is in excess of minus 300. I really wonder when the league will just say no more. It isn’t worth it for either side to drive all the way over there for non-competitive games.

Omg! The haters and trolls are so creative these days. Even out of absolute win of XF boys team you made the point to spread the hate and blame the club and coaches. Great job, guys! My compliments to your creativity, it is eloped to the totally next level.
to the adequate part of soccer community. Haters are gonna hate . Just show the grace and mercy to the local trolls and let them stay and enjoy their little swinger party on that thread.

I would imagine that there would be several willing to drive out to Preston/Fall City every day for practices to be with him again.
                        Nope.

What is the coach supposed to do if the gap in skills, athletics or talent is that big? The team was clearly in the wrong bracket and should be in RCL vs. ECNL.

I am sure starters were already taken out or players moved to different positions. As a coach you could ask that everyone has to touch the ball once before the next goal or allow shooting with only their weaker foot, etc. But to tell the stronger team to not play soccer in the second half or just hold the ball is also ridiculous and not fair to either team.

Those poor kids should be taken out of ECNL before the season starts. If this weekend was any indication, the next year will be brutal for them and could destroy the love of soccer for many of those players. I feel bad for those kids that the club has set them up for such failure by putting them in that league.

Is it possible that this isn’t the full ECNL team. I saw they were listed as Sounders Shadow ECNL. Maybe a combo team?

It is the ECNL team. They could be missing players. Spokane played their 2007 ECNL team in the silver division so not sure why they did this to the 2010s.
