What a year for this team, went about 50-2 this season and won Surf, Man City, Crossfire, undefeated ECNL season and National Champs!

Is ecnl still the best championship for this age group? I was under the impression that the best players are playing mls, d1 or mls next at this point in their career, and this is like winning the RCL as a 14 year old. Am I wrong?

No, but it’s still a huge accomplishment.

I would argue it is the best U-19 league in the country. Non-MLS teams in MLS next league are average and this team beat 5-6 this season. The MLS teams are dropping U-19 and their best players aren’t there anyway.
Miya a great pathway to college soccer.

You are wrong. They were ranked #6 in the country (Top Drawer soccer) before winning the Championship and that included all of the MLS teams.

Really, even the Sounders? I am not talking about the 'academy' teams, I am talking about the fact that the best players have already signed up for the professional or college teams by the time they are 19, and whoever remains plays U19 ECNL soccer.

The Sounders don't have a U-19 team. This is a high school team, 19 has just replaced what used to be U-18. Most of the seniors on the team will be playing in college in the fall.
