Justi is a great coach. I think she believes in letting older players be creative and learn by doing vs micromanaging. This worked for my kid, who did not do well with coaches who constantly stopped training to give correction. Justi gave feedback at times when it could be received. As with any good team, you have to keep earning your spot with her.

I think all of these comments prove the point that she is not a development coach. She is a selection and "just let them play" coach. That is not a bad thing if it's what your kid needs. There is a balance of micromanaging vs zero coaching and she is on one end of the spectrum.

I do not think she is a horse drawn carriage so I think "to give instruction or advice to in the capacity of a coach; instruct:" would apply to what we expect from coaches. Justi does not give instruction. Her style is more like "I saw you do that wrong during frere play and you should be afraid of losing your spot if you keep doing it"

Hilarious, she was at Crossfire for over a decade. And now you want to take parting shots. What does it say about crossfire that they had her lead countless teams over that period? I would argue that she has been more influential in crossfire girls soccer than any of the existing coaches at crossfire.

Sour grapes taste like sh:t. But you seem to be eating them by the bucket.

She is coaching the girls 08 ECNL team at pac. Is it worth moving my daughter from another ecnl team. She isn’t a soccer stud but a starred.

I think it says XF has a huge pool of kids and mediocre coaches which take credit for kids doing the majority of the work on their own. Also reference the previous poster that says she hunts for good teams to take over at the older ages. Just about anyone can coach a motivated group of XF kids and produce results. I am still failing to see the argument where Justi is a brilliant coach. Mediocre yes, great coach. no.

And I do enjoy buckets of sour grapes. They turn into good wine.

And you fell hook line and sinker for over a decade. Brilliant parenting.

i don't know Justi- I'm laughing at xf parents as they try to explain this... she was a terrible coach but we kept her around until she quit for 10+ Years! Too funny!

We had justi a few years ago and she definitely struggled on the developmental side and how to teach girls skills. She would get super pissed off at girls who didn't know how to do something and then she would do the skill and smirk at the girls for not knowing how to do what she just did. Very little teaching on her part. She just expected all the girls to know how to play the game of soccer like she did while on the national team.

I think you are struggling to comprehend the difference between mediocre and terrible. It's ok to not have critical thinking skills and think everything is an extreme. And yes mediocre coaches with A licenses are kept around for years at clubs. Thanks for confirming that.

For everyone criticizing Justi -- who are the amazing coaches on the girls' side? Because I can't name too many on the current local scene.

Again, if you can play, then you will get on the field with justi. If you cannot play, you will not get on the field.

So what is the problem with that? This is not recreational soccer.

i don't believe that at all.Just because this girl used to play for Pac doesn't mean she's going back to pac even if a great coach like Justi is there. But I don't know players do weird stuff.

Playing time! Crossfire has great teams, so you see a lot of good players playing half of half. It’s not that far fetched if you have chance to be on a team with a “great coach” and you have a better chance of staying on the field longer.

Crossfire seems to be doubling down on the mediocre coaches. Good luck!
