They are going to be good some day. They learn to play out of the back. Results don’t matter. This is what they keep selling and the parents keep buying.

Celtic lost in group play to PacNW 1-0 and won 2-1 against the second worst 2009 ECNL team. A team that is 1-7-1 in league play.
impressive.
go PSPL.

Celtic has a lot of solid teams at younger ages. They drop off once kids get older and want to leave for other “elite” leagues. I’m not at all surprised that they could beat an 09 ECNL team. Will likely be a different story 2 years from now.

The bottom teams in ECNL are around the same level as the Top PSPL teams especially at the younger ECNL ages. This is not a surprise. If a Celtic team beats a XF team that would be noteworthy.

Pac ECNL are pretty much that in name only. They don't have the skill to fill the teams, but they have the monopoly. I believe their G08 ECNL also lost to a PSPL team. Several of the bottom of the ECNL bracket would lose to RCL div 1 teams as evident in the mixed year where RCL 1 teams play ECNL teams for the first half of the year. Seattle United ECNL also very weak.

So the Pac B09 team might be weaker compared to their other age groups.
But I also know that the Celtic B09 is a weaker age group for Celtics, that I know with certainty, everything else I wrote is an assumption. I think other Celtic age groups have beaten the Pac A teams, at least the younger age groups. I also noticed that Pac may not do well league wise in most older get groups, but they do produce quality players in the end, the amount of college players they produce seems to be very high.
