Despite all the negativity from this thread SCA isn't going anywhere.

If you have insecurities regarding them I would suggest you contact parents of the players at the club and ask how the training and environment is. I doubt you will get the negative feedback you so desire.

All this talk of isolated technical practice is a load of nonsense also. I've not seen that in the many times I have attended training. There is a curriculum which is followed by the coaches which cover's every area of the game across the year as you would expect at any good academy.

As for playing players up and down. Again that's your own insecurities. Players are challenged constantly. Read a book I beg of you. Every pro academy in the world does this. It's nothing new to anyone who works in the game.

Lastly if you lead your life just seeking ill will to others I actually feel sorry for you. I don't ever hear the SCA coaches speak badly of any other team or coach. I would suggest they are comfortable in their own skin.

Whoa whoa, Take a step back from the koolaid

I don’t really care about SCA in general because my kid will never play for them and doesn’t play in league that would even affected by them.

      BUT

To claim playing kids that far up especially with the change in ball, field and goal size is okay, or like other academies in the world is 100% false and you’ve been lied to. First these kids are as skilled as kids around the world and second they don’t do that.

It’s because there were not enough players to fill field teams and you’ve been sold this lie to cover for that. These kids are being failed by the SCA coaching staff. /end of thread

Confusing 2 posters - 1 is objecting to undersized 10yr olds playing 11v11 (and then someone having the gull to spin that as a good thing).

Another finds the whole exercise of trying to find a way into OYSA kind of funny. Particularly that Eastside/PCU/Westside appear to still have so much power in this town (and if you know your history, there would be no OYSA without those 3 clubs).

There are plenty of USYS (OYSA) clubs that hire high quality coaches and even directors.

Lowlife's with profit agenda are welcome to enter the free market and run their 'business' happens every day in the states, that's called free maket.

Gaining entrance as a club into the USYS Oregon branch (OYSA) is a process and they aren't willing to be scrutinized at this time, which tells the whole story.

Well done Huracán appointing these coaches. This will be a game changer JS is the most innovative creator of young players in OR. I know which club my daughter is going to now.

What is Huracan? Is it part of IFC?

You do realise that pre the 2000’s everyone Played in 11v11 fields with a size 5 so please calm down. You think the ball size and goal size should never be adapted and if it is it’s punishable by death ? 😂 God help those Brazilians playing 22 v 22 in a car park with a flat ball they will never make it 😳

You also quite clearly have never left the state of Oregon let alone the US as far as your soccer education goes.

‘Failing the kids’ you are hilarious 😂😂😂

I doubt westside much cares about either SCA or Oregon United. If any DoC is on Cony's naughty list, it's BM and not any of the startups. JC at ADF is probably still on the list for all I know.

RH and Bridges United is a more interesting case. That didn't affect Westside directly, but BU is operating directly in Westside's backyard--most of their girls were pulled from THUSC, which shares essentially the same home territory. And WT and THUSC now have a much better relationship that TA is gone.

We also smoked in cars with our kids and didn’t wear seatbelts. Just because it was done before doesn’t make it right. Ironically I’m not even from the US. I’m one of those you trumpers hate with all your pleated khakiness

                            God you are dense.

You are so spot on with this. These muppets think they’ve got this all figured out and that they have some sort of philosophy that will unlock the door to the soccer Gods.

Bottom line- their philosophy is spot on for 5-10 year olds. The game becomes more complex after those ages. I watched their 07’s at the clash. Decent group of individual players with 1-2 actually understanding the game. Now they’ve only had them for 6 weeks but they sure seemed lost.
