How do you get five out of 20, when 3 committed before joining? The answer is two, at the halfway stage of the season.

True. Thornz actually have sent ZERO girls off to college soccer in their first 3 years. Fortunately for them they'll be able to claim a couple this year even though those girls were recruited and committed long before they ever entered the Asylum.

For three years everyone has beat up the thorns academy for not getting and college soccer signings and now that they get a few everyone is giving them a hard time. Can’t win.

Funny how little local club FC Portland Academy has almost twice as many commits (combining OR and WA) as Thornz Asylum - not to mention that some of the Thornz "commits" were recruited while playing for FCP. Hard to imagine that a "professional" club like the Asylum isn't putting EVERY girl in D1 top 25 schools. I mean they have the best coaching staff, right? They get all the top players in the state, right? Hmmm. Must be something amiss...

Some feel its prestigious to get picked up early but don't confuse early signings with big scholarships. Some of the verbals are getting very little money. They just knew where they wanted to go.

Of course they did. Up until this year the Thorns Academy did not have a real league to play in until this year so most of the quality players were playing ECNL.

Not necessarily. In about 50% of the cases, you are correct. The other 50% still pull good money in Junior year. Especially if they manage their options properly.

It's hilarious to follow the angry fc Portland coach who hates the thorns, hates the kid from Salem and feels the need to make fc Portland look terrible because of the frequent lying.

You should ask yourself why you are so angry and why you feel the need to lie so much?

If that’s the case then why did Topdrawer have the Gonzaga commit listed as FC Portland ECNL. All three of those girls then switched the listing on Topdrawer after they left.

Gonzaga player committed while at FCP, then left right after. SPU player committed while with Thorns, but FCP did all the work. She’s a walk-on, doesn’t matter.
