Beating up on nocal teams is now the new normal. Thorns Academy players aren't a part of the Oregon soccer scene any longer. Academy players will never play against any other Oregon players ever again. Playing norcal and other state's teams is the only thing they have. That is their daily league now. Flying to play Burlingame has replaced driving to Bend. Flying to play LaMorinda has replaced driving to Medford. Driving to play Seattle Reign has replaced driving to play Westside. The Academy teams are no longer a part of Oregon soccer other than that their home games will be played in Portland but always and only against girls from out of state.
