You have to admit it's nice to have a subsidized travel program for the girls that can't afford to travel! Soccer will finally bring out the best of the best from across the state. US Soccer and Thorns should be applauded for taking politics, bias & financial status out of the equation. Mandatory training a minimum of 4x per week like CA clubs is also going to really help our girls compete vs them for college roster spots.

If you were doubting this program, don't listen to the haters on this forum. The Thorns seem really committing to making our girls the best that they can be. As Mike Smith said, this is the most financed women's team in the entire world. It is so cool to be a part of it and see what they can do with our girls. Its going to be a GREAT year.

Whatever happened, who cares? This year, the girls are going to Surf this summer. Rest your worries about this program. Things have changed and now you can move on to other problems in your life. Stressing about things that happened in the past, to girls that aren't your daughter, is a little weird.

ECNL clubs have certainly been attacked on here for "unkept" promises. Given Timbers stranglehold on this state, they should be called on the carpet when things turn out not to be true. In part because it isn't just girls on the thorns that are impacted.
Good luck to your daughter though.
