Which is a hilarious bs propaganda tool for tools who literally believe everything they hear.

Name one professional player that the thorns have created? (0)

Name one professional player that any of the coaching staff on the thorns have created? (0)

Name the actual percentages of professional female players (>1%)

Name the percentages of professional female players from Oregon sw Wa (>.01%)

From what I recall the only actual female professionals (3) are from and developed in Vancouver. Fc Vancouver and Columbia timbers (now WA Timbers)

So again, let's be clear on your bs marketing strategy to get people to sign up. If you think a game schedule (league) is actually going to make kids professionals you are an idiot.

You literally aren't getting anything different besides a random schedule. But by all means ask the thorns coaching staff their track record of professional players...no really.

How many years has the academy been going?

2017/2018 is Year 1 of the Thorns FC GDA.

Not to be confused with the Thorns Academy.

            Everything starts fresh.

I'm not with GDA but my daughter's team lost players to the GDA. All teams start anew.

So what exactly was the purpose of the academy that existed for 3 years prior to GDA starting? No pro signings, minimal low level college signings. Playing the same tournaments and leagues they came from - just paying a little more and (in many cases) driving a little more.

Next question - even though you're "not with GDA" (sure), what is different with academy becoming GDA? Same coaches. Same number of practices per week. Same starters and mostly same teams. Same coaching curriculum such as it is. Same cost but with some free travel for the players picked to travel. Better competition.

Are these differences enough to have teams go from zero pro signings to an adequate number of pro signings to justify the sacrifices of academy? Are these differences enough to get more players to better colleges?

You can say this every year. That way no one ever has to be accountable.

Its still Thorn's club . Question how many other girls clubs in Oregon have put a athlete in the pro's straight out of club in the last 4yrs . It will happen with all the new training thats available but won't be many .

Thorns said that. The HS aged girls will have new GDA league games during winter so it makes sense to miss HS soccer anyway. Finally Oregon girls have a true Academy path like the boys.

Wrong.. Its senior starters whose hs teams made it to quarterfinals or further in state playoffs. There are a couple of those.

In other words you have no answers to my very reasonable questions. Got it.

How can there be answers to this when the teams have only just formed, and have not even trained together. Give it a rest negative folks. Lets be happy for all of the young ladies no matter what their club, league or team choice has been. They all deserve a big thumbs up for working hard in the classroom and on the pitch.

Thorns have a very poor track record of getting kids into college but that's because they are a pro team who's goal is to make a profit. College is not motive.

                                Very disappointing.
