Just getting them ready for next year when they'll be playing rec-level teams in GDA.

GDA is having trouble recruiting girls willing to give up all high school sports. So they talent level might not be great.

Girls are a lot smarter than lemmings give them credit for. They don't want 24/7 soccer and no social life. GDA will only attract the dreamers and the pine riders, just like Thorns Academy for the last 3 years.

The rules state they will have a minimum of 4 trainings per week. Plus traveling out of town monthly and missing school and school events. When do they do homework?

Seattle United - you played their B team and won 1-0. Their A teamers are playing on Seattle Reign Academy in the ECNL league. Their ECNL team lost to FCP's ECNL team, and beat CU's ECNL team (1-0 scores both times).

Eastside - you tied a team that lost 3-0 to CFC. Need I say more?

Pac NW - this is their A team and you got a decent win. Well done.

As you can see, you need some context behind your numbers. This is the danger of playing on a team that sandbags all the time. You are fooled into thinking all of your wins are quality wins, your ties are quality ties, and you don't recognize when you DO have a good win. Context, context, context.

HS sports teams often train every day (though HS coaches are more accepting of "need to study" as an excuse to skip).

Quite a few of the classic clubs train 3x or 4x per week.

It's not unheard of. Though if the training does require a lot more travel to reach than simply staying late after school, that could be an issue.

That is not the kids fault. Nobody asked them what tournaments to play. They make the best of the situation.

I think it's important to not judge kids or parents. They didn't have any say in the scheduling.

Don't know. Was it maybe slapped together by interns? Just a guess.
