That was 2015. Stop living in the past.

Why is the pay so bad?

NWSL doesn't make money I don't think. Some games have less people than high school games.

NWSL is embarrassing in most markets.

NWSL could be gone in a year or two. All the top players are fleeing to Europe.

Just the stars. The nwsl still has some decent players. Not the top players but good enough.

Like the MLS, the NWSL will continue also to be a draw for top players from other countries. It goes both ways.

US is not the place for top pro players. Salaries are sub-poverty level in many cases. You have to work too many side jobs to pay your rent and live with a bunch of roommates.

That's why you see so many of the NWSL / USWNT players playing a couple of years and then getting married / retiring to a real job.

Owners getting rich and not paying the women players.

It's not illegal so it's been claimed they are smart to make as much money off the players as possible.

Maybe those players are stars, but they are hardly the best players in the USA.

I can't imagine the NWSL last for another year after this. Weak attendance and all the stars are leaving for Europe.

Anyone know how much money they are making on try outs?

US soccer DA rules expressly prohibit a try out fee. So the answer is zero.
