Thorns make $6000 per year which is $500 per month. That is about 1/2 what I spent on meals out. Easy money. No big deal.

That's why you see so many of the NWSL / USWNT players playing a couple of years and then getting married / retiring to a real job.

I can't imagine the NWSL last for another year after this. Weak attendance and all the stars are leaving for Europe.

US soccer DA rules expressly prohibit a try out fee. So the answer is zero.
