    Always next year club zero.
How much rent you charging OPFC to live in your head? I just read this drivel over on your Westside thread about Rubio. Pretty sure last time I checked, Westside is sitting at home. Even after being granted the easiest rout to the quarters. You are a joke, just like your club loser.

Pretty sure the Rubin thread wasn't started by anyone at Westside--we know how to spell his name (it's not "Ruben"). That said, given that he's been doing well at RSL, why not take some pride?

Everyone be sure to thank your local linesman and center referees who made sure to be an influential part of this state cup

Bad calls are part of any State Cup; after all, you're not going to get World Cup refs to come officiate youth games.

Whether the OP is whining about any specific calls, I don't know.

I can think of 2 very specific calls in a game that were very questionable at the time that changed the outcome and confirmed after the fact as “questionable” (called wrong on the field) based on game rape after the fact

If you're referring to WT's disallowed goal vs UPDX (Westside scored on a DFK from close range, goal was called back due to a foul in the box)... it was a bit of a dubious call (there was contact, but only ordinary contact, and may not have affected the play--the keeper spilled the ball, and the alleged foul appears to be against the UPDX centerback), but WT can't blame the ref for losing that match.

UPDX gave up two goals to frigging Hillsboro--and still managed to hang a clean sheet on Westside. Westside's offense looked like they thought they were still playing against Lincoln, and played WAY too much one-on-one, or one-on-two. And there was virtually NO ball pressure on UPDX defenders and mids, who could pick their spots and launch longballs all day long over the WT backline. Westside could easily have lost this one 3-0, if not for some good fortune (and excellent tackling) in their own end.

And still, despite that offensive shizshow, WT was a few inches from winning it on the games final play, with a well-hit corner being headed just over the bar.

                    Sigh...

                      Thanks for the info!

Much better than, "at a game this weekend, a ref made a bad call and it made me sad".

Thanks for the objective clarification. I can really appreciate your pain, but I love that you are not blaming the loss on that one play. Honestly, this has been weird and unprecedented year. At least they got to play soccer in some capacity, and all clubs should be celebrated for making it happen. Fingers crossed, we can have a full almost normal year moving forward. Good luck to UPDX and ADF (F Bombs!) And good luck to the teams for tryouts and summer tourneys.

Hey ADF do you have anything to add? You have seemed awfully chummy with the refereeing crew you have had the first 2 games of knockout stage. High fiving before and after both games and having the crew call your players by name during games lends itself to questions...

The ol' "other team is chummy with the refs" complaint.

                            Gotta love the classics!

And just who, if not affiliated with ADF, would go to both ADF games to observe such a thing?

Not a fan of the F-Bombs, but this sounds like either a) another coach scouting the games, or b) someone who wasn't there and is making it up. In both cases trying to stir the pot.
