Any dollars skimmed off of youth soccer by a pro franchise is bad and the enablers in this town are worst.

Places like la galaxy and fc Dallas have 1000’s of area youth teams paying 3k-3500 a year in just team fees .


The timbers can’t simultaneously hate not invest in youth soccer and also invest and take money . Get your excuse why your kid didn’t make it straight.

I will give you this - Peregrine isn't make money off of ODP. It is a money loser that they have tried to give back. Leagues/state cup, OYSA email lists are a different story.

That OYSA doesn't take ODP back at this point is entirely on them. The org seems to be getting stronger, so at some point hopefully they step up and carryout their mandate.

Timbers get a flat fee of $45k to run leagues and put their stamp on everything. It’s mere pennies
