AP, who’s that?
He could do nothing. In fact we hardly even noticed him on the field

Last year, this was an unfavorable matchup for BSC, and the roster of this year's UPDX team is much the same team as last year's BSC squad. There are a few new faces and a few departures (including one player who went to Westside and had a nice game against his old teammates), but the way to beat Westside is to be physical with them. UPDX simply doesn't have the horses for that race.
WT scored the game's first goal, early on as a cross bounced around the six-yard box before falling at the feet of a Westside forward for an easy tap-in. Westside kept up the pressure most of the half, though midway through UPDX equalized on a counter that managed to get behind the backline. Westside scored again almost immediately, the teams entered halftime with Westslide leading 2-1.
Westside would add two more goals in the second half. Two yellow cards were also shown towards the end of the second, one for each team as the game got a bit chipper in the midfield. WT took advantage of the more liberal substitution rules to rotate players in and out of the front six; UPDX seemed to be far stingier with playing time.
Final score--once again, WT 4, UPDX 1, which was the scoreline of a couple games last year IIRC.

They pretty much pushed, grabbed and fouled him while double teaming him all game long and he still created chances and had a few great shots on goal. The game on Charlies carpet will end much different
