The suggestion was that some Seattle clubs have strong B teams because kids were refusing to play for the DA, and that in some cases the non-DA B team could beat the DA A team.
This is bullshizzle.
The teams from Seattle and SoCal whose B squads managed to beat updx and Westside, have A teams that would slaughter any Oregon 05 team, including Timbers Academy. None of the Seattle teams I am aware of have a stronger non- DA side. California, I don't know.

Any club claiming relevance prior to the HS ages for boys is not being realistic since all of the top shelf players have moved 'up' to the Timbers DA. Please don't slide into the delusional and comical thinking displayed by the local CU girls who claim relevance (LOL) in the 'nation' after all of their leagues best clubs opted out for the Girls DA.
The clubs that take the hardest hits from the Timbers DA selections (gutting) at the kiddie ages should not be compared to their pre Timbers little DA iterations.
On top of that with so many clubs operating a business model that is forced to cover inflated overhead for staffing, the dilution and mediocrity will witness today is the new normal until parents decide enough is enough of this nonsense.

If you had the skill position guys in American football, for example, playing and training for soccer you would se an immediate rise in the USA results

Nobody says they except teams that lose. You should crochet that into throw pillows and set up a table to sell them at the soccer fields.
Sorry I’m laughing at that mental picture...give me a minute.

Surf DA was the second best team, IMHO, at Oceanside DA event last November. Clearly this wasn't their DA team.

FCp won on penality kicks 3-1 (4th & 5th in the penalty kick line up for FC didn't even need to take shots) FC's keeper was a beast!
