Or you could try and think about it from the perspective of some of the better kids on Eastside. Is it fair to tell them they can't play with better players because these other bad players have put in more work?

DA is not supposed to be a typical club soccer experience.

Is it fair to ship kids from club to club just for PT?

Looking at the TA game reports since spring season started, and assuming they are accurate:

One kid has missed all six TA games over that timespan (TA has gone 4-1-1), another has missed all but one.

Several kids have played in half of the games. Two of those appear to be the two keepers on the team, who TA seems to rotate on an every-other-game basis (rather than playing one in each half).

Many kids have missed one or two games over that span.

WT 3, BSC 1. Poowerlines is open for business! After playing Dallas Cup on grass, Westside returns to its favorite swamp.
WashT 2, CFC 0. Same score as last time, as Capitol visits Harmony.

Eastside is idle.

True and it’s not for every game. Next weekend they are shipping those kids at the bottom of the pack to play Snohomish. They will get lots of game minutes there. None of those kids will see minutes this weekend.

Not even close, those not getting rostered and or playing time for TA were only there to fill spots (because so many refused)and only ended up getting spots because of relationships and money. Most of the kids being discussed will make little to no impact....

That's not true. The Timbers encouraged and sold DA into the alliance clubs.

Wrong, many times Oregon teams have played the Seattle area teams in friendlies and tournaments. Some of the Seattle DA teams actually got taken to the woodshed in a couple of instances. There are 4 Seattle area DA teams (eastside, rush, Seattle surf and snohomish) that would be middle of the pack in OR DA and would struggle against FC, Wash Timbers and XFire just as those 3 top OR teams would struggle against the top Seattle teams....Stop fooling yourself into thinking that just because they are DA in Seattle it means they are good

Just so people are aware, so far 12 of the current TA 05 roster have been invited to stay on for the 18-19 year. Other prospects have already been invited in to train. Do not spend a dime on tryouts.
