That game was a lot closer than the score would suggest...both teams played excellent soccer until about the last 10 mins of the game... at least 2 or 3 of the goals were scored as a result of an error by the Vantuky GK passing the ball to the TA team near the 18 yd line. If those 2 teams played an actual game without unlimited subs they tie 5-5 of a 10 game series.

Anyone that was truly there knows what happened. Neither team was looking for the result. The 05’s played against a fresh starting 11 every 20 min. The final 12 minutes of the game 4 goals were scored. The Vantucky team did not have any legs left and the TA were fresh. It’s ok. Not a big deal.

Wa Timbers went on and on about how you have the best team in the area. How you would man handle TA. 5-0 the other direction is far from man handling. Hilarious. Yeah, it doesn't matter that their legs weren't fresh. It wouldn't matter at all. MLS teams never bring a guy in for fresh legs. I was impressed with the TA's depth of the 24 kids there. But don't worry, as it has been said in here before, the TA parents won't need to crow much longer. 75% of the kids on there today will be replaced in the next two years. Close game until the last 15 minutes and the legs don't play a part? Good job TA kids, you played a hell of a game. WaTimb kids, great job!

BSC Parent here. I am familiar with both teams, and apt of the kids on both teams. If the results were reversed, I can guarantee TA parents would be on here making excuses..."we are better, they just had more players who had fresh legs!" In fact, I know I read that on here last Fall, that TA was getting blown out in the 2nd halves of games due to their players being tired! Believe me, TA set this up with unlimited subs for that very reason. In fact, they had 2 full teams worth of kids for that very reason. I Don't see this as really capturing which team is better...it was just a war of attrition and TA had more #'s. If they played for real, under the same rules as DA...then we would actually see. Until that time, RA can say "scoreboard," puff out their chests, and feel good. Until the Spring DA season starts back up and they have to try and find their coach on the parent sideline. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Quick question- isn't the kid that many say is one of the best 05's and trains up occasionally with older TA teams gone? If that is the case him being gone is a huge change. Take any of the top couple TA kids out of the game and things change rather quickly. At this age 1 player can and does drastically change the make up of a team especially when they are 1 of the top in the area! And I am not a Washington Timbers parent I am a fc parent

Actually it can be quite the opposite. We stayed and watched the ‘04’s play. The TA changed a full 11 every 20 min. The final 20 min had 3 starters and 8 kids that never see time. Believe it or not those 8 reserve players played as if their lives depended on it. They were out to prove a point and want a roster spot on the first team. It looked like Vantucky was tired from competing against fresh legs all game.

That they are so bad, only money and friendships can buy them a spot. As many of you have pointed out on several occasions a good chunk of the TA players don't belong. That horrible bench beat WA Timbers. Fresh legs don't mean anything if you can't play soccer. Oh, but wait, they can play soccer. They beat you! By a lot.

The bench players looked more hungry than the starters and that’s because they have something to prove. There were a few players along with Malfoy that don’t belong there.
