Got to be W-T-F-C as we all know they've been shopping around for a DOC since June ... the question remains, who have they picked up?

    Sounds like someone local ...

      Close, but no cigar.
At least you got the ‘F-C’ part right

I heard the DOC is connected with a USL Pro team. They are moving the USL team to Vantucky. I heard that they’ve purchased the School of the Deaf football stadium and will be retrofitting it with investors to hold 9500 people. Stadium is off of HWY 14 near I-5

Are they stealing someone from BSC?

WT FC just merged with the Vancouver Victory, a men's amateur team in the EPL. (Evergreen Premier League, that is).

But that's three levels down the pyramid from USL.

Would be nice, I suppose, to have a good men's semi-pro league in the area. We've got several single-A baseball clubs playing within a two-hours drive; we should be able to support a couple equivalent soccer teams. One in the Couv, one in Portland somewhere (Merlo Field), one out on the Eastside, one at Hillsboro Stadium, one in Salem, one in Eugene...

Been in the works for awhile - good career progression for a number of coaches involved.

I have some mixed feelings about USDA, but there is much higher collaboration among the clubs within it than just about anything else going on in Oregon youth soccer right now.

I know at least one '05 team playing futsal that would probably prefer the court was 110 yards long so they could use it as a racetrack for through balls. It's not, though, and the outdoor game only gets more compact from here on out.

But sure, I'm sure it's an issue with the ball.
To a person, those with the most talent in a specific position (outdoor soccer) demonstrate and document their potential as bona-fide long-term pros. Most never touched a futsal ball in their live.

In the end Futsal is a fun court game, just like Pickle-Ball! Enjoy whatever you can as long as you can. Earning a living from Futsal or Pickle ball is not a journey for the timid.

And if they did, they'd be better at futsal than those without pro potential.

Is there someone in particular that you need to be both bad at futsal but still a player with pro potential?

What team would that be my friend?

Just to clarify, it was playing vs. that boys that helped her the most. Her speed of thought and action had to adjust. It was nice that it was the hybrid futsal setup, otherwise she would of never seen the ball in the real game. Whatever works, right.

There were 7 girls on that team and all 7 played or are playing in college. 7 is about the number of boys in all of Oregon at the 05 age group who will play in college. I just moved my 05 boy to California, away from the craptastic soccer found in Oregon. The kids in Oregon might as well play with a square ball. It wouldn't be any worse.

We can all agree, Oregon soccer sucks.
