What club is losing a “top employee”? Or who’s gaining the employee?

What I have noticed is Crossfire has a huge fall off from what would be considered their "top 11" and at this point in The year they have several kids absent at any given time. Based on my conversation with parents there it's due to several of their top players playing other sports. Not that it makes the beat down they took from fc pdx any different but I know if they play the shortened lineup that they played in oceanside they are as good as any team in the entire northwest....
Crossfire had a shortened lineup in California? Are you saying the club did not bring everybody, or kids could not attend? I watched one of the Crossfire games, and they appeared to have a full bench?

It's rather funny that some parents on here are actually talking about futsol scores. I think it's official, Talking Soccer is officially dead.

Omg! Couldn’t agree more! Someone at Xfire got her panties in a bunch because her snowflakes futsal team got melted last week. It’s no big deal. Really!

There's a reason US Soccer wants DA teams to play futsal. Scores certainly don't matter, but watching these teams play futsal you'll notice that the same players struggle in futsal in exactly the same ways they struggle in small spaces on a full-sized field. There are aspects that don't translate well, of course, but there are more that do.

In other words, you should ask some tough questions if your u13 outdoor player/team is substantially worse on a futsal court.

Good point on above. If your player is technically weak and has poor foot skills, it really REALLY shows on the Futsal court.

No. The poster said “top club”
And we all know that Westside is not going to replace the 1985 Delorian

Yeah Xfire Mom (probably Dad from what I hear) what is the story?

The topic I commented on wasn't the merits of futsol, it was about some dip-sh!t parents actually discussing scores of games and who played.

My dd really honed her foot skills playing futsol when she was in 8th grade. She played on a pickup girls team that played in a boys league and her foot skills really got honed doing that.

                          So true!
Futsal is great at developing and/or improving footwork that does translate to the 11 v 11 field. As the boys continue to grow, it will be ever more important to have good footwork in order to keep advancing as a player. There will be less and lees of just booting the ball into space and running fast and/or pushing guys out of the way to get it.
Take note of who these teams/players are with the good futsal footwork and then take a look at them in the spring leagues on the field, they should stand out.

Remember a Futsal ball is very forgiving on your 1st touch, as the ball is heavier than an actual soccer ball, because of this it magically sticks to your foot-unlike an inflated Soccer Ball. Playing with a Futsal ball can build a false confidence in you 1st touch control, then when you play with the actual soccer ball and your 1st touch is all over the place. You realize real quick, it doesn't cure a bad first touch.

Take note there are always pros and cons evidenced when you use differently weighted ball on tiny b-ball hard court vs a regulation soccer ball used on a massive grass field with outdoor conditions and the best athletes available. Those that stand out in Futsal may not be relevant on the big field using a different ball, for sure. Knives cut both ways my friend.

It shows as well in the actual game of outdoor soccer as well, can't hide from being technically weak. But if you are not athletically relevant in the outdoor game (that is the game moves to fast for your DNA) you can play futsal and be relevant, it's a very kind game in that respect, much like a small sided soccer match has it's standouts but those standouts sometimes get lost in the actual full sided game. Everybody has different skill sets that's what makes the beautiful game so compelling and interesting. Glad their are differeent and varied platforms that allow everyone to be appreciated for their unique DNA. So Obama & so Portland.

The side of the knife you're trying to use has a pretty dull edge. To a person, the kids with the most long-term potential as soccer players are also the best futsal players.

I know at least one '05 team playing futsal that would probably prefer the court was 110 yards long so they could use it as a racetrack for through balls. It's not, though, and the outdoor game only gets more compact from here on out.

But sure, I'm sure it's an issue with the ball.
