1st go around
After the first time through it appears that crossfire and Washington Timbers are the top 2 teams, followed by a group of 4 (how you rank them depends on who is playing up or with the 05's) and then there is eastside which is obviously better with the 2 05's now playing down on age. It will be interesting how the next few weeks go leading up to San Diego

Last week's predictions (DA):
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostDA:
CFC 1, WT 1.
WashT 3, Crossfire 2.
FC 5, Eastside 0. (Assuming FC doesn't do what WashT did last week).
WT 5, CFC 0. Another "how did that happen?" result, as Westside dominated Capitol. Result: Three yards wide of the net.
WashT 2, Crossfire 2. The top two teams play to a draw. Result: Off the post, and in.
FC 4, Eastside 1. Eastside starting to climb out of the cellar; good for them. Result: Off the post, and in.
Last week's poll:
1) Washington Timbers (5-0-0). Only undefeated team remaining in Oregon's DA. Will get a stiff challenge, though, when Crossfire comes up to Harmony.
2) Crossfire (4-1-0). Took care of business against Westside. Visiting WT FC for the championship of the first seven-week cycle.
3) FC Portland (3-2-0). Had the past weekend off, next weekend host Eastside at the Clive.
4) Capitol FC (3-1-0). Disposed of BSC. Travel to Poowerlines to take on Westside.
5) Westside (2-3-0). Beaten by Crossfire; still looking for a goal-scoring threat. Host CFC.
6) BSC (2-4-0). Beaten by Capitol, one week after surprising upset of Crossfire. Still looking for a goal-stopping threat. Off this weekend.
7) Eastside (0-5-0). Finally scored a goal! Still looking for a result. Travel to Hillsboro to take on FC Portland this weekend.
2) Crossfire (4-1-1). Crossfire moves closer to reclaiming the top spot, but a tie isn't quite enough. Visit the Charlie Carpet to take on FC Portland.
3) FC Portland (4-2-0). Dispose of a rapidly improving Eastside team. Host Crossfire.
4) Westside (3-3-0). Whatever Cony fed them for breakfast, it obviously worked. Dominated Capitol 5-0, and it wasn't even that close. This weekend, BSC pays a visit to Poowerlines.
5) Capitol (3-2-0). Ref still hasn't posted the match report, so don't know what happened, but got trounced by Westside. Gets harder this weekend as they pay a visit to the Harmony Hut.
6) BSC (2-4-0). Idle. Visit Westside.
7) Eastside (0-6-0). Have looked halfway-decent the past two weeks, reportedly due to having some 05s who were playing up instead play on-age. Still looking for a result, however. Idle this weekend.

Last week's predictions, OYSA:
Bend 5, Navy 0
RVT 3, ETFC 2
GPS 5, Copa 0
HSC 4, WashT 1
Cuervos 7, WashT 0
4H 5, Salmon Creek 1
Bend 3, FC 0. FC puts on a respectable performance in Central Oregon. Result: Off the post, and in.
RVT 0, ETFC 0. A scoreless tie is not what I expected from these two, both of which have lots of speed up top. Result: Three yards wide of the net.
GPS 10, Copa 0. Ouch. Westside's B team has hit the skids in a big way. Result: Off the post, and in.
HSC 4. WashT 2. Washington's B team has a slightly better weekend, managing to score some goals, and looks respectable in loss to visiting Hillsboro. Result: Into the upper 90.
Cuervos 8, WashT 1. Not so much against Cuervos, though. IIRC, the two teams met in Clash, and the hosts didn't get trounced quite as badly. Result: Into the upper 90.
4H 3, Salmon Creek 0. Farmers take care of the fish. Result: Off the post, and in.
Last week's poll:
1) ADF. Only undefeated team remaining in OYSA Premier. Have the weekend off.
2) Bend. Struggled this weekend in trip to Portland and Salem. Get a bit of a breather next weekend as the Navy comes sailing up the Deschutes.
3) RVT. Wasn't long ago these guys were near the bottom of the poll, after a mediocre summer performance. Only loss is to ADF. Next weekend come up to Eugene for some Timbers-on-Timbers action.
4) Cuervos, but barely. Draw with Bend is not a bad result. But Eugene is breathing down their necks, and beat them head-to-head. Red2 is coming to town.
5) ETFC. After early loss to IFC GPS, has been on a winning streak. Host Rogue Valley this weekend.
6) 4H. Two impressive wins this past weekend. Host Salmon Creek.
7) IFC GPS. After a hot start, has been struggling, though losing by a goal at ADF is nothing to be ashamed of. Will have an easier game against Copa on Saturday.
8) HSC. Had the last weekend off, but visit the 'Couv this weekend.
9) Salmon Creek. Looking much better the past two weekends; losing 5-4 to Eugene isn't anything to be ashamed of. Hitting the road next weekend for Lane CC and a game against Eugene.
10) Navy. Still the only DA B team with a win. Won't likely get another this weekend in Central Oregon.
11) Copa. Past two weekends have been brutal, and now visit GPS this weekend.
12) Red2. Have two chances to pick up their first result, hosting Hillsboro and the Crows.
1) ADF (4-0-1). No games this past week, but we have #1 vs #2 coming up as Bend pays a visit, followed by a trip out to Liberty to play FC.
2) Bend (6-1-1). Took care of FC. Travel to Portland to play ADF and Hillsboro.
3) Cuervos (4-1-2). Reclaim the third spot with victory over Red2. Stiff text next weekend as they travel to Medford.
4T) RVT (5-1-1). Tied Eugene, and are tied with them in the poll. Host Cuervos.
4T) ETFC. (4-1-1). See above. Host FC Portland.
6) 4H (4-2-0). Hosted and beat Salmon Creek. IFC comes to visit this next weekend, followed by a trip to Hillsboro.
7) IFC (3-3-1). Destroyed Copa. Head down to Salem to face the Farmers
8) HSC (3-4-0). Beat Red2--have three wins against the three B teams and losses to everyone else. Host 4H.
9) Salmon Creek (1-5-1). A respectable loss to the Farmers. Travel to Harmony for the Battle of the Couv.
10) FC (1-5-0). A more-than-respectable loss at Bend. Out of frying pan into fire, host ADF.
12T) WashT (0-7-0). Held own against Hillsboro than clobbered by Cuervos. Host Salmon Creek.
12T) Copa (0-7-0). Got blown about by IFC. Mercifully idle this weekend.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostWhile Westside's defense was its usual solid self, the big story was in the midfield; where Westside won the possession battle. In the first half, in particular, the ball spent most of the game in Capitol's half; and Westside's D and keeper didn't need to work very hard.
In the second half, after a bunch of subs were made, Capitol did threaten a few times, and almost scored when their right winger managed to beat the D and had a one-on-one with the keeper, but shot it wide of the post. But other than that, CFC had few chances, and many of the chances they did have were quickly reversed down the field.

So it appears that the luck has run out for the two FCP boys. Neither one has moved in a few weeks. Teams are no longer letting the keeper boot the ball over the top so these guys can run the ball down and shoot! Amazing what happens when they actually need to posses soccer skills in order to find the back of the net.

You don't know what you are talking about.
Your skull must be numb.
If you are going to draw a conclusion, you might want to include some actual facts along the way.

Wake up! There are ways to accomplish this... Drop three defenders back a little bit so it does nor go over their heads causing them to turn and chase (the only way the FC forwards can get goals).with this strategy the forwards are forced to create using their footwork, which obviously is lacking!
