Only reason this is the case is because anything youth timbers (even academy) is shady and done in such poor taste that they don't capture all the top talent in our market eventhough they have stacked the deck for themselves. Some of us have morals and our children do as well- don't fool yourselves, the top kids see right through the bullsh1t and know who belongs and who does not even at age 12 -

Stop whining about TA: it's not their responsibility to provide anyone with a good solution. Get one of (or a combination of) the other DA clubs to offer up a competing solution. Get it funded, get someone behind it who knows how to train kids, and go straight at Timbers. In the long run, they'll benefit from the competition. So will the kids.Comment

Must not have been that good if he didn't make an impression. The only three players from that team last year that seemed to be that good were #88 (winger/forward), #71 (big bully striker) & the huge goalkeeper!Comment

The 3 you just mentioned are in my opinion, the most overhyped kids in this age group. Good players, but were not the best on their own team. I am not the original poster, nor am I the FC mids Dad, my son played ODP with him though. In fact, with 3 of the FC kids. No contest, the mid was the best player out of the bunch. That is an exaggeration, but double digit #'s of players did decline so yes the team is weak. It is comprised of ADF defectors that ride you know who's coattalis, ego driven parents and their kids from FC and Westside and a few others.
