None of them is likely to be in the top half of the table, but at least WT and WT FC should look respectable.

The interesting thing about WT is that there IS no third team below Copa 05B (and Academy), yet they are playing premier. FC and WashT all have various "white" teams playing in the lower divisions.

      Really? LOL

Hun-Oregon players have done so ever since Bend, Ashland, and Roseberg had teams.

Plan accordingly if you want your child to play. If not, then opt out.

Call them whatever you want, but there is nothing premier about them. They are nothing more than the b teams from each of those respective clubs and will be playing against watered down b level completion. The Eugene, bend, ADF, 4h and ifc clubs (all the bottom of last years premier tables for the most part) will be the ones vying for the top of the table

As I said before, then don't have your kid play.

We didn't complain and our kids didn't whine. They traveled to play at a young age and continued to do so their entire youth soccer time. We went and visited all sorts of places and met nice people everywhere.

My suggestion for you. Stay home. It's not always about you. Find another sport.

Right? It's called Oregon Youth Soccer Association for a reason. My son is now in DA, but I do miss the longer trips as with my kids, we would always tie something else in with them. Medford has awesome fields, and In n Out. Bend....nuff said. Eugene...track town pizza...etc. and like this poster said, nice people. Soccer is a great game, with great life lessons. Don't ruin it for your child. It is not about status. It is about the fun of being on a team, and competing.

It's not about you either, I would rather see my son play against higher level competition (Seattle DA Teams) for the 3-4 hour drives I am going to be taking this year...you can find rec level play right here no need to drive to Medford to play kick and chase HUN

Not "Hun" as in honey. "Hun" as in Atilla.

                      First DA games this weekend:

                      FC at Crossfire
                      WT at BSC

TA, WT FC, CFC, and Eastside are all idle.

OYSA games don't start until next weekend.

                      Picks?

Looks like the little 12 year old boys Premiere OYSA and the tainted Timbers DA will be spending a lot of weekend hours in a car this fall. I hate to be the one to break it to you Timbers DA dad but not all the teams your driving north to play are good, in fact about half are about as good as the little DA teams here because Sounders were smart and thought it was totally stupid to form a youth MLS team with kids that young. So what you are playing is the same watered down pool that played up there last year. What's even better is that unlike the little DA teams, Timbers DA is giving everyone 50 percent play time. This was done so the weakest players, whose parents are donors to the Timbers org, get to play for half of all the games. So your kiddo can spend eight hours in the car every other Saturday to play twenty minutes and then come back here and train four nights a week with an average coach with an unremarkable local reputation who's committed to developing only one player on the team.
Take a good hard look at the low number of players that tried out and the high number that turned down spots. I guess the upside is that the sixteen hours a month spent in vans commuting to snohomish county can be spent doing homework.

Ouch! These are kids trying to have fun and hang out with friends. This sounds brutal.

They are having fun and they are hanging out with friends. They are having a blast with Cony. Not brutal in the least bit.

Do you remember way back when Westside had their first and second teams in the state final and the second team won it?

I remember it happening with girls' teams too-can't think of the teams' club but it has happened. Sometimes those second teams surprise people-especially when talent from other clubs show up at tryouts. Some clubs end up with strong first and second teams.

                                Don't count out the crows.

But yes, I would be surprised if the three B teams from DA clubs finish in the top six. One might be able to do it.
