Just want to make sure y'all saw this. While the 2005's failed, WT continues to dominate overall. Can't deny it, fight it or sell it any different. Go WT!

Meh. Next year DA will make a third of the boys divisions meaningless. Have to expect that will only continue to grow. Using total "State Cup" champions as your ongoing measure of success doesn't mean anything when OYSA Premier will be third tier. Find a better metric.

BTW, the 05's didn't fail. They played hard and lost to a team that has proven all year to be the best team in the state in that division. That happens. Doesn't mean they failed.

I can assure you that there were few jealousy or chemistry issues. I mean, maybe the 2nd string keeper wasn't thrilled that the 1st string keeper came in the 11th hour and took his spot. Aside from that, there was nothing but support and respect amongst the players. Like every team, there may have been some playing time issues, or questioning what's fair. In all honesty though, it was a very solid team, filled with boys who had great chemistry and geniune kindness for each other. Truly one of the bets teams. It's so easy to say that's why performance failed. That's not why and I am not about to mention it on this board.

Hahaha...okay, I was just messing with you. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I KNEW somebody from WST would leap to defend. I know nothing about Copa except that when they were on, they were really on and looked formidable.

You are right---State Cup will be meaningless. It actually already is given the teams in this age group don't advance to regionals. It's just another tournament.

Not that those girls' teams would necessarily win OYSA (some might), but then we wouldn't have to listen to yammering about how the 00G team that got clobbered by Salmon Creek in the finals was merely the B team.

Good luck to them for sure. I hope the academy remembers these are kids and they don't burn them all out before they even get into high school.
