Does your son whine as much about losing as you do?

You got one given to you by the man in yellow so move on and focus on CFC. You best be ready because they are as dirty and trashy as you and your crew. I would recommend you be humble about yesterday and know this: my son does not forget so as you said cleats up!

Please stop. CFC is not "trashy and dirty". Your white privilege and arrogance is stinking up this thread. It's only a game !

Okay, I get it. You lucked out and won, so that gives you the right to talk. But, I was at that game yesterday and I did not have a child on either team. My daughter was playing the next game at Horizon. (To be fair, I did know a few kids on the Crossfire team) We came early to watch the game, and honestly I was shocked. First off, I was down on the ADF side. Not being new to soccer, I was still concerned by the lack of etiquette I witnessed. In particular, was a female fan for ADF who seemed to be delusional enough to believe that her caustic comments were only helpful, but even acceptable?

The play on the field was rough. The ADF boys early on seemed to be slower and overwhelemed by the intensity of the Crossfire Defense and counter. The ref missed a few handballs for both teams, but overall seemed to be doing an okay job. Then Crossfire's left Fwd was brutally taken out by a much larger ADF player, in the box down by the goal. This was not only a clear foul, but a red worthy, indefensible act. The ref either did not see it happen, (how I am not sure as the Crossfire player had the ball and had just gotten a step on the defender) or chose to let it go for his own reasons. Either way, this very play changed the entire tone of the game. The Crossfire parents were apopoletic (as they should have been) and the ADF players appeared to be encouraged. Now keep in mind this was in the first 10 minutes. Crossfire had been dominating the posessio at that point. The player taken out on the play remained in the game, but appeared to be hurt and shaken up. Several minutes later, I witnessed an ADF player slide tackle not one, but two Crossfire players from behind. Never got ball. Two players down, no calls, no stoppage.

Now you can imagine what happened next. Crossfire players began to attempt to protect themselves. The ref called a Crossfire player and an ADF player together and gave them a both a talking to. Not even one minute later, the very same two players had an encounter. The ADF player slid into the Crossfire player, from behind, cleats up. Very reckless and dangerous play. The ref waved it off as the Crossfire player laid crumpled on the field crying. Again, the Crossfire parents were appalled and were yelling. The Crossfire coach came out on the field and several minutes later, the ref came over to check on the player. The ref then decided that he needed to do something, so he may have given a card? He reached in his pocket and wrote something down as he would if he was issuing a card. However, he neither showed the ADF player a card, nor did he say anything to the player. The Crossfire player left the game.

In spite of all this, the game was 0-0. ADF had a couple of that were easily handled by the goalie and defense. 0-0 at half and I felt that Crossfire was the better team, but that they were not getting any breaks, and that ADF was lucky not to be down 2 players. 2nd half, the ref appeared to make a decision to try and get ahold of the game by becoming whistle happy. However, the calls went at least 7-1 against Crossfire. By that time, several other families from my daughter's team had arrived and they all commented on this as well. In the end, ADF scored on a BEAUTIFUL free kick, that had been awarded on another foul called against Crossfire (that in all honesty appeared to be a flop...and while were on the topic of flopping, I should note that Crossfire had a little player that appeared to flop everytime he was in the game) The second goal, was a blatant offsides goal that parents were screaming about the player being offsides before the ball was even in play towards his direction.

I will not pretend to say that I know boys soccer. But I will say that there did appear to be dangerous if not dirty challenges being made by ADF. Watching that game was an eye opener for me, and I am grateful that I have daughters and not boys. ADF parents, I would not gloat as from what I witnessed, your team was not trying to play soccer but trying to injure kids. Is that how you win your games? I had always heard that ADF's philosophy was to put an empathis on skills and one on one attacki g. I did not see that at all. I saw team that decided it could not win, and so decided to slow the other team down by hurting their players.

I will ask you to please stop saying "white and privileged." I am not the person you have been debating with, but my son plays for Crossfire and he is neither white nor privileged. Are you really trying to make this a race issue, and then telling others to let it go? I am pretty sure I know who you are, and you should probably go back to Foothills with the White and Privileged.

Wait until they get older. The girls are every bit as dirty as the boys.

CFC is not dirty, but they are stout and strong defensively. I also think they will soundly trounce ADF. Much like 4H did.

I would not say that collectively. There are some players who are, but it is not as prevalent. I have a duaghter at U16, U15 and U11.

Anything? CFC and ADF should already be passed half. I am assuming the fact that we have not heard anything and that noyhing has been posted means FCP.

Copa played well for 70 minutes, but overtime games go 80. Congrats to FC.
