If I remember right, seven players went to Dallas ! The '05 timbers DA Will be 11 versus 11 so they will obviously have to pick up some more players and that is why I asked the original question.

We had a bit of a slow start. But the past month has been epic.

This board will be huuuuge. It will be best board. The most powerful board. We have an armada steaming directly at the 01 girls board right now. It's an incredibly powerful armada.

So, what you are saying is your son was asked to come tryout for a team that was going to Dallas for a high level tournament and you said "son, you were asked to tryout for a team going to Dallas but I don't like that a millionaire is involved so your not trying out" I call BS. You are so full of it. Right, you are so morally perfect you could not possible let your son be involved with a team going to Dallas because there is one player that probably should not be on the team except for his Dads money. The Generation Adidas thing is a waste of oxygen to talk about. One dad paid the registration fee and supplied the coach so yes his kid got to go play. It was 7v7 so no one really cares. The bigger question is will that same dad and coach be involved in the 05 DA team that will only be playing in the Seattle league? Think long and hard on that folks and ask yourselves will that long travel season enrich your player or burn him out? After speaking to a few clubs up north it's important to point out that Washington is not creating one team. There are 8 clubs that will have this so if you are under the impression that they will all provide top level competition next year you are mistaken.

Actually, he plays other high level sports and knew who would be involved and decided he did not want to commit that time to that sh!t show but thanks know it all. Some of us still empower our children to make their own decisions and he wanted no part of it. He already can't stand the political side of youth sports and actually had the insight to ask "why can't the adults just get out of our way"? Everyone seems to think that the only reason kids burn out is over use or time playing, when in all reality the adults who run or are associated with the various programs are the ones that push a lot of kids away. Might want to keep this in mind as you helicopter over your son and jam him in a bus every Saturday to play the 8 DA teams in Seattle. Stop trying to relive the athletic childhood you never had through you son. Funny that most parents who played high level sports are the most laid back ones and the ones who are crazed never even made their JV Highschool team as a child...
