I think some people are mixing up teams and the USSDA model. From what I see, westside has gone a bit rogue in that they will have an 05 specific DA team whereas all the other USSDA/OYSA sanctioned clubs (east side, FC,etc...) are keeping the combined 04/05 model. (A model I think that is hurting 05s, but it is what it is)
Westside, since they are trying this 05 only model do not have a league to play in here in Oregon since all the other clubs incorporate 04s. That's why westside will live in Seattle practically every weekend because that's where the other strictly 05 teams reside. All the Oregon clubs with the 04/05 model have a league here to play each other in.

For 05s, Copa will be the top team at Westside, and will be an OYSA team. Samba will be the second team, same as this year, with possibly a Mundial team (given the larger rosters for 11v11, and the fact that 05 Mundial was not a good team this year, even by Division 2 standards, it's entirely possibly that only Copa and Samba teams will be formed). A sufficiently-talented 05 might play up, but probably unlikely.
For 06s, there will be a DA team in addition to Copa and Samba (there was no 06 Mundial team). Given that many 06s left Westside last season after a coaching controversy, the 06 cupboard has been a bit bare, so how this will work I dunno. I can see lots of 07s and 08s playing up, kind of like they did this year.
Both 04 and 06 DA teams will play in the local DA league, not the Washington DA league.
The Portland Timbers--the MLS franchise--will have 04 and 05 DA teams that play in the Washington DA league. A few current Copa players might wind up there.Comment

I blame the Timbers as they mucked this all up. The only state in the country that does not have an 05 DA. The only one. Coincidence that we are the only state AND the Timbers have for their own special accommodation, an 05 DA that will play in Washington? I say, nope. They knew that by doing so, they could capture a good deal of talented kids now, and take them away from other clubs.
