Of course not. It's just getting old to read the same dumb stat over and over. We read it the first time, so sending it repeatedly is just annoying. Especially when it has absolutely no relevance. Don't be so bitter about losing him. Just get on with it.

We've played them four times and each time they have swapped out the goalkeepers at halftime! They both seem to be good, but I am not sure which one you are referring to.

Referring to the one that only knows how to boot it.. but his boots are big so the forwards only need be fast to boot after the bounce. Typical FC style of play.

Hahahaha! Referring to the starting GK, who is very tall, very quick, has man like hands, impeccable positioning, vision, anticipation and clearly a high soccer IQ. Not much gets by him. He is remarkable and will be truly fun to watch in the years to come. He deserves a lot of the credit for FC's success. They are average without him. With him, they set themselves a part.

It is a deficiency because it's boot ball and not real soccer. No real skills are being developed this way. It's not a knock on him though. Especially if he is doing what is asked. I don't think anyone can argue that the kid is a different level. He is way ahead of any other keepers in this age group. He is single handedly responsible for much of FC's success. Without him, there is nothing special or impressive. He is a game changer.

I really don't think anybody would disagree this keeper is the best hands down. I am not an FC Parent either.

Agreed! And the FC parents should have a reality check. They are where they are because of their GK. The rest of the team is just riding his coat tails. They would get thumped by a number of teams in this league without him.

And besides--there a lot more ex-WT 05s at FC that that... I can think of at least five off the top of my head At least two of them were at the game last Sunday.

Okay, I will give you a btter stat then. Crossfire's record against that epic Westside defensive back line....2-1-1. (Only loss coming this spring with starters missing.) Oh, and the last win in the Fall was without said goal keeper. It was played with two field players splitting time in goal. I know Copa Dad posted an excuse laden and shorter than normal recap about that game. Nowhere did I read about the Westside defenders running around anybody. Look, we all take pride in our kids, or their clubs but enough already. Crossfire lost a kid, and will move on. He's a good kid and will either do well at Westside or he will not. At the end of the day, none of these kids will amount to anything worthwhile in life, if we ruin them now with all of our pre-conceived notions of how much of a star they are at 11. Puberty is coming....and it's either going to be a blessing or b#tch for some. Hug your child. Tell them they make you proud. Tell them you love watching them compete...win or lose...and move the hell on with life. Because that's what this all needs to be about. Preparing our kids for life. Peace...
