Seems like your team has a lot of losses for you to come on here bragging about being better than the top team in the state... Or were the refs biased in those games too?

Possibly because before the game the young ref was chumming it up with an FC family.. they knew each other well and were speaking freely about that. This ref left a lot to be desired but the shoddy calls went both ways so it probably evened out. Both teams played great and the result is what it should have been. The Make-ups of these two teams are very different. FC Pdx trends towards playing its largest and most physical players on its top team, whereas ADF had a much, much smaller team physically but that was definitely superior technically. It will be fun watching these teams go at it again in the spring.

Strong technical skills in soccer go beyond passing.. and ADF did possess about 70 percent of the game.

ADF parents area always looking for excuses to convince themselves they are better than they are. They are an average team, with average players and some extremely irrational and obnoxious parents. It's no wonder the kids are always complaining, fouling and have double the cards of any other team. They need a serious lesson in good sportsmanship from the sidelines to the field. The coach seems like a very fair and rational guy who can likely do a lot of good if the parents would just get out of the way. ADF parents are exactly what's wrong with youth soccer in America today.

What ship is sinking fast and why? All these teams will have ups and downs ... what characteristics lend to a sinking team? Copa is looking for "talented" players. No "B " team or "reserve" team that want to be "A" team.

It isn't a premier team, and the whole club is circling the drain, not just an age level team.

Possession without a clear purpose obviously. Possession by itself is meaningless. Look at the Toronto - NYCFC game yesterday. NYCFC had 64% possession and lost 5-0.

I wouldn't say that ADF is the least skilled in the league. you can tell that they are working on their technique all the time. The trouble is that they are not learning the game. They essentially have a group of kids that could join the circus.
