What if a club played bootball to the fast forward until u15 and now have finally decided to teach playing out of the back? Players have been in the same positions since u11 with the big, slow playing in the back and the speedy athletes up front to boot to. The players are having little success trying to play out of the back now. Is it too late? Will the development he fast enough to keep the good speedy athletic forwards from jumping ship?

Other clubs do opposite.. I've seen the biggest, fastest and strongest in back.. the play 100 percent play time beginning U10. By the time those boys are U15 all the other boys have caught up in size but are way more versatile and advanced technically. Push for technical now in our 05 age group. If your club isn't giving your kid focused technical training one day a week .. complain!!!

This website never ceases to amaze me in the half truths, misinformation, and biased reporting by parents and other adults. If by "scouting" you mean that coaches were in their expected club logo uniform and present at the field to warm-up and coach a non 05 game immediately following the WT Copa/Crossfire game - sure. Don't imply they were wearing sunglasses, hats, and lurking in the crowds.

More likely it was the fact that Crossfire and ADF just played each other only one week ago and OYSA decided to schedule their rematch just a week later with areas for improvement noted from their first game.

Hey, relax. I wasn't implying any wrongdoing. They did conspicuously wear ADF gear, they behaved professionally, and whether or not they had a game afterwards, I have no objection to their presence. Just surprised at the change of fortune from last weekend to this one. If anything, my comment should be construed as praise for the ADF coaching staff, not as any accusation of anything sinister.

Where you get the cloak and dagger stuff, I have no idea.

It is fun to visualize that there were coaches there wearing "Fedoras, black suits and sunglasses."

The reality is that ADF dominated and deserved to win. Congrats ADF!

I cannot grasp what is going on with ADF and Crossfire. How can there be such a drastic change in results? 4-1 Crossfire result and than a 7-1 ADF result!
Was their players missing from ADf in 1st game or Crossfire in 2nd game. This is a pretty drastic swing.

To follow up... when I saw them there, they were quite clearly watching the Copa/Crossfire game. I didn't notice them warming up a team--which is not to say that didn't happen, of course; I just didn't notice (though I didn't pay much attention to who played on the field afterwards). But at least part of their job description that day was advance scout--ADF had Crossfire yesterday, and Copa next week.

But like I said--nothing at all wrong with this.

the first time they played Crossfire barely touched the ball the first 10 mins. then there were a couple questionable calls and ADF melted down emotionally. crossfire took advantage with instant pressure and a couple goals, and it just never turned back around for ADF.

yesterday crossfire scored on their first possession and it was looking like dejavu, but the ADF side kept their heads and stayed in pocket throughout the rest of the match. first time they really clicked as a team this year, and at just the right time before the season got away from them.

too bad these 2 teams can't play a 3rd time this season.

I didn't see the ADF staff attempting to make any contact with any of the players or parents--they stood in the corner, watching the game, and keeping to themselves. Whatever else might go on; nothing inappropriate happened on Saturday at Powerlines.

The roster was identical because they have a lot of kids rostered. The kids playing were about the same, but there were different kids there. And that is okay, they are on the team. ADF did a masterful job of responding to pressure and counter attacking. They also applied heavy pressure, and were extremely quick. All in all a really good day for ADF and a not so good day for Crossfire. I will say though that contrary to what a previous poster said, ADF did not dominate the first 10 minutes of the first game....they competed for the first 10 minutes, and Crossfire overwhelmed them with pressure and missed a lot of shots. Crossfire dominated that game and ADF wilted and fell apart. The exact opposite happened this weekend. The mark of two really good teams. A swing game would definitely be a blast to watch.
