team manager here. clubs, coaches, and managers have had brackets since last week. I won't publish it in this website, but I shared my team's seeding and bracket info with the parents, in order to plan for travel. the bracket isn't marked secret (some things they send to clubs are, this isn't). not sure when it will be published on OYSA website.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

They probably let them in to balance the brackets. There are five brackets this year (ridiculous) .. with only three teams in the first and four in all the rest.Comment

If they had done four brackets--the first bracket (with FC) would have actually been the Group of Death, with 4H (known for sandbagging during league play) and Capitol (the only team that's beaten FC in OYSA this year) in the same group. By doing it as five groups, the top seeds (except for Crossfire, which seems to be falling apart) all should have a cakewalk out of the first round. Instead of 4H and CFC, Navy gets PCU and WT FC Red 1. (You'll see a preview of Group 1 this weekend, actually.)Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Yes. IFC Eagles is the fifth seed (on top of Group E) and rightly earned their place. IFC Cuervos did not play fall, is in Div 2 for spring, and is the bottom seed in the tournament--but may have a decent chance of winning their group.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Who are the IFC Cuervos and where are they from? And how/why do you think they would win their group if they have not played anyone as of yet. LASC faction with a core group of players who left ADF over the winter. They likely are in state cup because they dominated cupcake tournaments last summer. Talent-wise they deserve to be there and could be dangerous in the tournament.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment
