Time to face the music.

Crossfire 4, CFC 1. One week after routing Eastside, Capitol finds itself on the wrong end of the scoreline this week, as Crossfire's high-scoring offense visits its net early and often.
FC 3, WT 1. Same score as last year's State Cup semi? Why not... both teams appear to have been equally hurt by defections to TA. The ball will spend most of it's time on the side of the field where the two teams are strongest; unfortunately for Westside, that's close to their goal and not FCs.
BSC 5, Eastside 1. BSC finally gets a win, and Eastside finally gets a goal.
Predicted: Crossfire 4, CFC 1. Actual (unofficial) Crossfire 3-1. Crossfire continues to dominate the DA league, dispatching the visitors from Salem. Result: Into the upper 90, keeper had no chance.
Predicted: FC 3, WT 1. Actual: FC 2-1. Westside actually did a bit better than expected, though I was a bit surprised to see which WT defender got the early hook. Still, not enough to earn points. Result: Into the upper 90, keeper had no chance.
Predicted: BSC 5, Eastside 1. Actual: BSC 8-0. BSC made sure THEY wouldn't be the first to get scored on by Eastside, and kept a clean sheet. Up next (for Eastside) is Westside. I've got a bad feeling about that... Result: Past the keeper's fingertips, and in.

Crows 6, HSC 1. Out of the frying pan, into the fire for Hillsboro.
ADF 7, FCSC 0. 7-0 is the largest margin of victory I'm willing to predict, but this could get ugly quickly.
ETFC 2, Copa 1. Copa could win this, the first game of a long weekend, but I think Marseilles will be a bit much.
IFC GPS 7, Red2 0. See ADF/FCSC prediction above.
Bend 2, IFC GPS 2. GPS has a nasty travel weekend as well (game in the 'Couv Saturday night, game in Redmond, OR Sunday afternoon). This one is hard to predict and will give us our first indication if Bend is for real or not.
RVT 2, Copa 2. Last time they played, Copa scored three on Rogue Valley, but this game is in Medford.
4H 3, Navy 2. Both of these teams have 4-goal wins against hapless Red2, and both got beaten by the good teams they faced.
Cuervos 4, ETFC 0. Crows continue beating up the weaker teams in the division.
Prediction: Crows 6, HSC 1. Actual: Crows 8, HSC 3. Hillsboro managed to keep this entertaining, but still got blown out. Crows got the win despite having a player sent off; the first red card this season in 05 OYSA premier. Result: Past the keeper's fingertips, and in.
Prediction: ADF 7, FCSC 0. Actual: ADF 6, FCSC 1. ADF let their foot off the gas somewhat, but still blew out Salmon Creek. Result: Past the keeper's fingertips, and in.
Prediction: ETFC 2, Copa 1. Actual: ETFC 4-1. Westside's B team had a bit of a rough weekend, dropping a pair on the road. Result: Off the post, and in.
Prediction: GPS 7, Red2 0. Actual: GPS 10-1. Didn't get the score exactly right, but predicted a blowout and one happened. Result: Into the upper 90, keeper had no chance.
Sunday was less kind to yours truly's crystal ball.
Prediction: Bend 2, GPS 2. Actual. Bend 5-3. Don't know if GPS doesn't travel well, or I was just under-estimating Bend. Either way, missed this one. Result: Three yards wide of the net.
Prediction: RVT 2, Copa 2. Actual RVT 5-1. Might be a travel issue again, either this weekend or during Mt. Hood Cup, but Copa got drubbed down in Medford. Result: Three yards wide of the net.
Prediction: 4H 3, Navy 2. Actual: 4H 3-2. Got this one, at least. Result: Chipped the keeper from 40 yards, back of the net.
Prediction: Cuervos 4, ETFC 0. Actual: ETFC 2, Crows 0. Who the heck saw this coming? One Cuervos player was suspended for this one due to a red card earned on Saturday, but that shouldn't explain six goals. Perhaps Cuervos doesn't travel well, and/or a B team showed up in Eugene? Either way, ouch. Result: Over the crossbar, into the 107th, knocks over the drum.

Generally, a #1 team who doesn't have a game won't drop, unless something spectacular happens. WT FC's takedown of Westside came close, but not quite enough. This weekend, Capital comes to visit.
2) Washington Timbers (def Westside 4-0).
Impressive rout of Cony and crew, shredding a defense that has looked reasonably impressive all summer. Almost enough to grab the #1 spot from Crossfire. Get the next weekend off.
3) FC Portland (def. BSC 6-3).
Prolific offense puts in a lot of goals against a rather shaky defense. Will get a stiffer test next weekend when Westside wipes off their cleats and strolls across Cornelius Pass.
4) CFC (def Eastside 5-0)
Barely edge out Westside for the #4 spot. Will face a stiff challenge next weekend when they pay a visit to bucolic Wanker's Corner to play Crossfire. (I know the corner has been replaced with a traffic circle, but "Wanker's Roundabout" just doesn't have the same ring to it. And watch where y'all put that apostrophe, hear?)
5) Westside (lost to WashT 4-0)
Ouch. You know how the LA Galaxy stink this year, and everyone else in MLS is enjoying it? It's kinda like that. Another difficult test this weekend against FC.
6) BSC (lost to FC 6-3).
Defense seems to be heading in the wrong direction; averaging almost 5 goals conceded per game--the worst of any team not named Eastside. And speaking of which, will head out to Adventist to play Eastside next Sunday--will they be able to keep a clean sheet?
7) Eastside (lost to CFC 5-0).
Better than 10-0; but this side would finish in the bottom half of the table in OYSA. Being in the DA program is beneficial, I hope; but this has to be hard on the kids there. Hosts BSC next weekend.
1) Crossfire. Dumped CFC (3-1), as expected. This weekend should take care of business against BSC.
2) Washington Timbers. Idle this past weekend; next weekend host FC.
3) FC. Beat Westside. Get a sterner test when they travel to the 'Couv.
4) CFC. Lost to Crossfire, no shame in that. Get next weekend off.
5) Westside. Lost to FC Portland, again. Host Eastside--a game they should win... but now they are next up in the "who will give up a goal to Eastside?" sweepstakes.
6) BSC. Beat up on Eastside, and finally kept a clean sheet. Gets much tougher as they face Crossfire.
7) Eastside. I feel sorry for these guys. Coming out to Poowerlines to face Westside next weekend.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostWeek 3 poll of one voter. Not much movement--the major surprises were how badly 4H lost to Cuervos, and how badly IFC beat Hillsboro. Big winner this weekend was the fire gods, who managed to scratch three games.
1) Cuervos. Laid a whipping on 4H, which keeps them in the top spot. HSC comes to visit this Saturday, then down to Eugene on Sunday.
2) ADF. Game in Medford was smoked out. Host Salmon Creek this weekend.
3T ) Bend. Came up to Portland and beat Copa and Salmon Creek. Host IFC next weekend, in what should be the game of the week in OYSA.
3T) IFC GPS. Game against WashT was cancelled, but demolished HSC.
After this, there seems to be a considerable gap in quality.
5) 4H. Got throttled by the Crows. Returned the favor to Red2. Against Navy this next weekend.
6) HSC. Beat Navy, but were destroyed by IFC. Get a stiffer test this weekend against the Crows.
7) ETFC. Game against RVT was cancelled. Next week host Copa and Cuervos.
8) Copa. Lost 3-0 to Bend. This weekend, hit the road and have ETFC on Saturday, Rogue Valley on Sunday.
9) RVT. Had two home games cancelled due to unhealthy air conditions in Southern Oregon. For some reason, I suspect that those two games might not be replayed, for obvious reasons. Copa is coming down to US Cellular next weekend.
10) Navy. Lost 3-1 to Hillsboro. Next weekend, host 4H.
11) Red2. Lost 4-0 to 4H, about what was expected of them. Saved by the smoke against IFC. Idle next weekend.
12) FC Salmon Creek. Lost 5-1 to Bend. Gets arguably tougher when they travel down to Harvard-on-the-hill to play ADF.
1) Bend FC Timbers. Beat IFC GPS 5-3, which vaults them into the top spot after Cuervos falters. This weekend, will host 4H and Red2.
2) ADF. Beat up on Salmon Creek, but got jumped by Bend. This weekend host FC in a rematch-in-name-only of last season's State Cup final, then its in the van for a trip down to Medford, for a make-up game from two weeks ago.
3) IFC GPS. Clobbered Red2, but then went out to Central Oregon and lost to Bend. This weekend, face the Crows. and then host Salmon Creek.
4) Cuervos. Clobbered Hillsboro, and did so with only ten boys on the field, but then went down to Eugene and stumbled, a loss that dropped them out of the pole position. Host GPS.
5) ETFC. Beat Copa and Cuervos. The latter win is impressive enough to move them up two spots.
6) 4H. Rebounded from loss to Cuervos last week to beat Navy. Road gets tougher as they travel to Redmond to face Bend.
7) Hillsboro. Establishing themselves as a middle-of-the-pack team; but for the second week in a row got waxed by one of the teams on top. Their turn for the travel weekend from hell, as they have RVT in Medford on Satruday night, then visit Eugene on Sunday afternoon.
8) Rogue Valley. Blasted Copa this past weekend; this weekend host Hillsboro and ADF. After that, it's Rogue Valley's turn to hop in the car.
9) FC. Lost to 4H, and one loss by one goal is enough to move them ahead of Copa for the coveted title of Best B Team. But this weekend visit ADF.
10) Copa. Still winless, though all of them against tough teams. Got blitzed twice on I-5 road trip.
Doesn't keep them from dropping a pair of spots. Finally get a bit of a breather, with a trip up to Salmon Creek this weekend.
11) FC Salmon Creek. Earned the proverbial "gentlemen's C" against ADF--in other words, weren't blown out as badly as they should have been. Host Copa this weekend in their best chance for a win so far, then visit IFC on Sunday.
12) Red2. Absolutely destroyed by GPS. Gets tougher still this weekend, as they travel over the mountains to face Bend.

Just a month ago
BSC beat them 3-1
Washington Timbers beat them 4-1
The TA must not have the top players in the area
