    Thorns ODP

Curious but I saw a few of the younger Thorn teams at the Friendship Cup this weekend, but how were the Red and Black teams divided up? Some of the younger Thorn teams were very competitive in their matches. Were they all playing at age?

ODP Teams were divided into A & B teams. Then there were als Timbers Alliance teams which are kind of like C teams with also a few A & B players that don't do ODP. Some teams played down an age. Also Thorns Academy teams. It's just friendlies and other states send "B" teams. There's also "Oregon North" aka "Alaska", that uses Oregon lower level players to round out their slim rosters. I wouldn't read anything into any Friendship Cup results. If you want to see how competitive younger Oregon players are then look at USYS Regionals to see how they do vs now watered down South Cal teams.

Girls soccer can get that way. I suggest not attending. That's what I do.

I agree. I actually saw two snorkels break over the weekend and the girls had to be subbed out of the pool. It's not easy to play soccer under water like the girls do.

Oh man that was a good one Timbers soccer dad coach. Please stop wearing that terrible gear all weekend and stop letting your son play a girls game. Only Euro boys play soccer. American males suck at the game.

Actually I'm a FCPDX dad but I support PTFC. Oh, and I have a daughter that plays ECNL so when I say the game is slow like its underwater it is slow and looks like it's under water

Sounds like you want fast and furious. Should move to a Timbers Alliance bootball thugball team then. No skill but fast and furious.

I thought it was Clash at the Border for you all.
Nah, our club will stick with Surf Cup.

Honestly, you should have said that other states are sending in their A+ teams with
many national youth camp players. Makes the beatings look more tolerable.

No room for lemmings at FC. If you want to bow down to GW, join one of the countless bootball thugball Timbers Alliance clubs.

My DD plays for an independent club.
Lets add presumptious, insult hurler who has little respect for other families decisions to the FC parent profile.

No FC parent is probably even on here. They're all doctors and have lives. More likely it's Tom over at THUSC or Angry Eastside dad.
