Glad you are empathetic. Makes going to regionals seems like it is not really worth it.

        Totally agree.
The only reason to have calendar years is to align with the national pool. And so what percentage of these kids will make the national pool?

Unless you're talking about U16 or older it's really not worth it. You are failing your child if you think regionals at U15 or younger is important

I sound have said, takes the fun out of it. After all, it is only for fun. With the new USSA implementations the idea of college soccer being played for anything other than fun is joke.

Sorry your soccer life has now ended. Yes, it's tough to go from the oldest to one of the youngest and to relegated to the b team. Maybe it's not too late for tennis or swimming.

So the age change has taken away club and high school soccer along with the potential for college soccer for a whole bunch of kids. Wow, who knew? College soccer is supposed to be played for fun, right? If it's a job, then I doubt most players would play it. I have always thought kids played sports because they are fun. I had no idea I was wrong.

You are kidding yourself if you think that any D1 sport is not a job.

College soccer is a job. Check out what a scholarship pays.

No, I get that. And from first hand experience. However, you are kidding yourself if you think that they play it because they don't have fun doing it. Sorry bud, don't need any lectures from the peanut gallery.
