FC PDX - a club with issues

Problem with FC is that they have no creativity or imagination as a Club. Come to think of it, their style of play and players mirrors this image. So FC is left with recruiting and trying to copy other clubs.

Here is a list of FC Failures and Lies

Started out as a training academy only. Then decided to form a Club taking players from Clubs that were there for training only ( they had told people they would never form a club)

Y-League - Failure and money pit. Games all over NW and Canada, sometimes mixed ages on team and last minute cancellations, etc...

USDA - tried boys academy, miserable failure, out of state teams refused to play FC because it was waste of time to travel. USSF decided to pull academy before it became more embarrassing

WDA - another failure and money pit.

U of P Affiliation - see recent article on demise of program

ECNL - people will wake up and figure out the money is not worth it.

Recruiting of latino players... for many years FC was a "ginger club" and decided that they wanted to stop getting their behinds handed to them by teams with latino players.. Now they give them a free ride and other goodies to stay with the Club but kill their creativity and development.

This is just a short list of FC failures and lies and misinformation and shows the lack of direction with this Club. I am just happy my kid is done with soccer in this area.

Kid didn't make the cut, huh? FC is so far ahead of your club they aren't even in the same planet. Admit it. You're butt hurt and sniveling in the corner and feel the need to lash out.

Just look at all if the innovative things FC tried to do to push player development to the next level. Some worked some didn't. But at least they are continually trying. Unlike the TA clubs that fear change because they dont even understand what they are doing today.

Should we list all of the TA club failures? Like Eastside and Westside girls programs???

You must have some of your own issues to put together this list.

My daughter doesn't play for them. You seem to have issues. You might want to move on from youth soccer. Note the word youth.

Your daughter should stop playing soccer. Let's be honest.

Don't forget bringing in the awful UofP girls coach.

He's bringing his brand of mediocrity to fc now.

This post is hilarious. Someone has an axe to grind with all the differing anti-FC threads.

The poster indicts FC but then doesn't give an example of how soccer in Oregon should be done. What alternate club emulates what he or she thinks is the epitome of a well run club and what FC should look like.

Without explaining what those remedies are or which clubs are doing those things now. This is simply an angry rant that reeks of Jealousy. Maybe its an indictment of club soccer in general. Either way this is utter bu ll s h it.

Should people start threads disparaging all the various clubs anonymously? Get a grip and get a life.

If your kid is done then why worry about the shortcomings you droned on about? Time to move on, let it go, enjoy life.

The world needs ditch diggers too. They should change the team name to UofP Ditch Diggers.

The Timbers clubs know all about that. Stupid people still pay to have their kids wear "Alliance" badges and play bad soccer.

Probably the most accurate description of this club. Coaches punch their ticket at the end of the day and could care less about each player.

They have always been a recruit scam. The players that are there are replaced from kids from other clubs. Parents fall for the UP carrot but find out that it doesn't help.

Just watch you kid and realize that no one cares whether they do well or replaced. Typical fcp.

It's hard to take your comments and that of the OP with any seriousness because they are so far afield. It amounts to nothing more than petty rants. Rants likely stemming from pure envy. I would like to know,as another poster asked, if FC is SO terrible, which area club is SO far above and better?
