If we are catching up with International standards, does this mean that US soccer dads will now wear speedos at the beach?

        - Teams will be required to roster 50% girls and 50% boys.

        - Playing time cumulative over each half will be required to be exactly 50/50 at all times.

        - And every player should get equal time throughout the season at every position which will require statisticians at games starting at U8.

        - This will run through U14 at which time they will split to boys and girls teams.

This won't be easy or popular but it's critical we start moving in a positive direction with development.

In a couple of years everyone will be glad we've done this.
This will be a very positive move. It will increase quality across the board. It's a welcome change and the only people complaining are the girls parents who thing little Suzie will get slide tackled at U10. Grow up people! The rest of the world has been doing this for ages.

This is not good for boys.

This is so dumb. Why in the world would you mix boys and girls? Pure insanity.

That said if US Soccer is mandating it, we need information on how to implement.

Mandated. Definitely happening. The clubs just aren't saying anything because they don't know all the details of how it will be implemented.

There is no question on how it will be implemented. New age restrictions will be in affect next tryouts. What's so hard to understand? Everyone will try out in May and teams will be formed.

                    No grandfathering? That's stupid.

Your attitude is not helpful. You really ought to reexamine your priorities.

This will drive truly elite boys to play up starting young, which will benefit the national team.

While mandated -- all training will be free and parents will be reimbursed all expenses associated with playing.

Kids will be fine. This will benefit girls through a faster speed of play.
